Should I still go??

I am going to Amsterdam on Oct. 29, and my ticket and hotel have both already been paid. However, I had an expensive emergency that will leave me with only 60 euros a day to spend, much less than I wanted

I will be there for eight days, so the hotel, actually a townhouse, was not cheap. I obviously am looking forward to smoking, but I haven't been recently due to a drug test I will need to take at some point (I don't think I will need to take it for AT LEAST 30 days after I get back, maybe as many as 90 days) so I think I can get by on a gram or two a day. What do you guys think? Will that be enough or will only having 60 euros a day ruin the trip. I do have some friends that are willing to cover touristy shit for me, but I've been there 6 times and have seen most of the things these first timers want to see. Thanks for your input, this will help me to make the right decision....

It may last, if your friends smoke then suggest putting in €20 each and buy a load for the day, get yourself a couple o gram for own smoking leaving you say €30 for snacks..
If you can manage that and limit €50 a day for the first few days, this would give you more later in the week...
I have the same problem in not knowing how much to take, even though I plan to be there only 2days I hope to have around €260, which to me is enough to smoke eat and post

I try take at least 100 euro per day on my trips but I had to make do with 50 per day once and I got by

Just try control the munch and buy from supermarkets and you will be fine, especially if your mates are having a smoke aswell.

it is possible.

if you make your meals chips, falafels and take aways, or supermarket food, then realistically you could eat three times a day for 15 euros.

smoke is about 8 to 14 euros a gram depending on what you go for. lets say you want 2 grams a day thats 20 euros (35 euros spent so far).

then maybe 5 euros on trams etc. that leaves you 20 euros for a few late night beers.

it'll be tight but you can do it!

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I have done it on 50E a day when I backpacked across Western Europe in 2003.

do it.. i love showing Amsterdam to friends.. not alot of money but you can buy wisely in the de pijp area and save a small fortune..

60 euro spends is tight but possible,I would go for it! theres been times where ive not had all that much while other times ive lived like a king,Just dont go crazy & get used to walking everywhere,Do you like hash?,Could you dedicate this trip to say a hash holiday? as you will have more smoke & your money will go further mate like you may already know,Fine buds are more than awsome but on a budget its a luxury you cant really afford to do as often as say hash joints

,But if you happy on say 2 grams per day tops well 60 euros should be enough,say 20 euros for a hot meal,Another 25 for weed,& the rest on say cigs/drinks & the odd tram journey & cone of frites from man-ken-piss,Yea you would do it

I'm going on the 29th and am doing it on 75 euro's a day.

It can be done, just spend your money wisely. Don't rush into making bud purchases, use the online menus on here, shop around and you should be fine.

Easily possible IF you have will power and buy from the right places.
Because what you need to do is buy a few 5gram purchases to get a nice discout.
I'd be buying mostly import hash, as that goes along way.
Buy from places that have good prices and great quality OUTSIDE of centrum.
Bij and Boerjongens, and or Empire in Haarlem.
Also, buy buns, cheese and meats at A.H. and make up sandwhiches, buy a case of yougurts for snacks and refill your water bottles from the tap.
I do all of the above anyways and i do not come planning on sticking to a budget.

Thanks everyone! Very reassuring....I've never gone with less than 150 a day, so this will be new for me. One of my friends will be buying my share of the food since I am cooking for everyone. As silly as it sounds I bought a crockpot to bring because it makes eating so much cheaper...breakfast will likely be meats, cheeses, breads, and hardboiled eggs, so the only food I will need to buy will be lunch, really. Also, another friend will likely buy an excessive amount of weed and hash, so with all that taken into consideration I'm hoping I'll be fine....just need enough to drink and smoke. Thanks for the advice guys! I love this forum!! I hope to meet some of you while I'm there....
