No, no.....those guys are some of the big innovators!
Here is a track from Gene Hunt and Ron HARDY! All 3 DJs are direct from Chicago, and were active in the beginning.

As for Marshall Jefferson, I am trying to get him here but its about 10,000 euros and you should see his rider

Have had the pleasure of seeing marshall jefferson dj, guys a legend.
Quite a cool documentary -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EznncXgJ ... playnext=1
Is split into 3 programs, 1st being the Chicago scene, 2nd being when it crossed into the UK and the old raves etc with the last being more modern
Has interviews with people like Marshall Jefferson, Joe Smooth etc. and has them showing you how to mix 2 of the same record together to jump to different parts and how they added the drum machine. The soundtrack alone is class!
Is called pump up the volume and can also be found on torrent sites

Sadar Bahar
IVE MIX
“WHAT ABOUT THE FEVER?” – The journey was unstoppable, except for the fog machine taking a long break. We killed the machine with Sadar’s 7 x 30 inch record box guiding the real chicago “feeling”. No doubt It could been a better sound system but all in all on the dance floor, in between the two dancing poles, the vibe kept bouncing off the walls. Oh yeah! The floor was full of salt which could of been two kilos more for the sake of it!
Well folks, you ask for it, you got it, and if you didn’t asked for it better live for it, disco as a life style, no tracks in between and like LaJohn and Sheela would recall “to far gone”! From chicken wings underground parties to today’s Soul in the Hole, never been so strictly rhythm.
4 CD live set...if you like chicago, deep house and disco, this guy is NUTS

On Sunday there was a very special party in Amsterdam.
Without a doubt the best party I have been to in Europe. Tight sound, location, people and (above all) banging house from 3 masters :respent:
The location was OT301, which is a former squat that has been legalized and now is a center for arts and alternative productions.
Art as you come through the courtyard
