ebay help please..

Post by kolditz »

Hello.
I've just sold my first ever item(s) on ebay. and, in the excitement of putting them up for sale i never thought to think of the posting side of things. this is a reality that has just hit me and i'm panicking. I have no idea what to do, there is a link directing me to print some postage labels off, but they want a weight. and i don't know it as of yet. can anybody help me out?
thankyou.

How big is the item?? if you can take it to the post office it will be cheaper and you should ask for proof of postage as well

Dont bother with the e-bay labels just write on the parcel, you should know the weight before listing the item so you can give the correct postage cost anyway unless its for collection only.
If its a large parcel then dont bother with the Post office as they charge way over the odds. Use a company like www.P4D.co.uk who are way cheaper and you dont have to go out the house.

For small items the post office is fine, just package it up, write the details on it, take it into post office, they will weigh it up and give you different options at different costs.
