Hey,
I just booked my flights to 'dam with 2 friends. We going to be arriving on the 27th Dec, and leaving on the 29th. For the last 3 trips i have stayed at the Hotel Luxer which is right next to Hunters and Sheeba. I was hoping i could get some recommendations for alternatives which are in as good a location and that sort of price level. Otherwise i guess ill just stick to the same hotel, i just fancy a change

.
Ideally i want an apartment, but i got the idea that all apartments will charge for 3 nights minimum. Is this true?
All help is appreciated.

I like using
www.priceline.com you get great deals and you can chose the part of town you want like centrum or museumplein.
For around 70us a night you can stay at a 4star NH Hotel.

You have been posted on the December
Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=30589
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the
Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Enjoy

How about a hotel with a coffeeshop:

Now I haven't stayed there but the guy running it is a member of the forum by the name of highlyblessed, look through the thread, they have a real nice looking cannabis menu and they've refurbed the place so it's all fresh & new.

I just booked today for me and the missus for Valentines weekend (thank fuck my lady is a toker

) for the Eden Hotel Amsterdam on Amstel just north of Rembrandtplein (but not the Eden Rembrandtplein!)
On hotels.com we paid £62 per night, which seems reasonable. With our Easyjet flights from Edinburgh, we got a 3 night stay for a baw hair over £300

I know the Luxer. Vijaya is comparable to what you want. There is also another hotel close by the Luxer but I forget the name.
I would stick to the Luxer if I were you. Anytime I find a good place, I keep going back. Why risk a change?

I think you may be right...Although some of the hotels recommended above look the part they are all more expensive then the luxer. I can get a triple room for €120 a night...so €40 each. Plus i guess the location is perfect. Being opposite hunters is the shizzzle.......

There is also another hotel opposite Hunters (The Coin).
It used to be the Kabul Hotel (remember that!) but is now a 3* but everything is brand new so arguably it looks a lot like a 4* inside, owned by Chinese. I heard the rates there are very good.

Another alternative is the Vijaya. Cheap and cheerful (also clean). For single rooms, TV and shower included (no need to use a shared one). Bargain price for the location.
