I 50-percent agree, since a "thinking" person would more likely have researched beforehand and discovered that a day pass maximizes the experience, and minimizes the expense.

You don't need to be experienced to be smart, you just need to be smart.

Who actually decides who wins ? I've read that judges passes dont entail any judging. As far as I can tell you pay to be a judge but you still pay for the weed and your opinion on it makes no difference. Is this correct?

actually i think i see your point. your saying the average judge pass holder's are un informed/not experienced, but your not geenralising this theory on the people of north America, just pass holders? correct me if im wrong.
Exactly!

USBONGLORD I am not arguing with you man about anything so what is wrong? I agreed that the cup was a lot of fun and my only gripe is that some in my opinion inexperienced people's votes (on average) get passed as the best weed for the specific year.

neovdr wrote:I don't believe it is completely fixed but rather skewed. There is a variety of reasons imo that result in this skewing, with the biggest ones being:

1.Poor voter quality: You cannot expect to get accurate results when the overwhelming majority of judges are American/Canadian and they lack the experience needed to properly judge a strain. I mean when you get here you get wasted with pretty much anything (even Dampkring's salad) so how can you judge relative strengths/ differences?
2. Marketing: If you are aware of the above fact the only thing you need to arrange is free shuttle rides to your coffeeshop for judges in the beginning. Now you have just made your weed a whole lot more memorable for a few people.
3. Goody Bags: If your coffeeshop is somewhat famous and you give a few more memorabilia trinkers there you have it: Instant cup win

When they are like 1200 passes & barney buys like 800 of them you can see how he wins each time,Would you diss someone who gives you free weed & food all week long?,& for me i can agree with the earlier poster when the comment was about greedy wankers who dont give a shit.

Urban Grower is a classic Canadian "hoser" and I mean that in an affectionate and complimentary fashion.

He resembles Bob or Doug McKenzie, and he love for cannabis is equal to their love of beer.

I'm Canadian and I don't mean this comment to offensive.

I like him but I wish he'd lose the sunglasses once in a while especially when he's indoors.
