1-2 always buy the winning strain and give out the most so its also buying votes even if they know they ll be battle beteewn 1-2 for #1 spot!

Boners right, this was brought to light after some blogger submitted a Freedom Of Information request to High Times about the amount each shop was spending.

It's also well known that GHS will do anything to win it.
They give out free weed, pass massive vaporizer bags around the coffeeshop and generally do anything to win.

The biggest proof of all is the fact that GHS's strains win so much, when if you actually smoke or grow 'em they're pish in my opinion.

I also remember Nol (co-owner of the Willie Wortel in Haarlem) saying something about picking some lighters up and he noticed that there was some for Greenhouse that said Cannabis Cup winner for that year only it was a couple of months before the cup had even ran.

Its simple just have a look at past winners

in last 10year GH won 4-5 times first place Barney's 4-5 first places and NOON wit BB in 2000

and DIDNT The people DROP out of the cup 1-2 time saying that WAS unfair cause other shop was BUYING the votes wit BIG money! and well all know that Ajar is full of money and same wit Barney's owner

Im sorry but they dont "buy'' cups but DO spend money advertising their goods as any good business sould, im sure that its ultimately worth it as that money would be made back quite quickly.

I think that the prestige of the canna cup has gone, theres plenty of good strains that are better than cup winners, generally clone only phenos that tend to be region specific psychosis down south bluez up north so no longer is the canna cup an indicator as to the best bud in tha world
