I get into the Longleat grounds for free as part of my work occasionaly takes me there. The house is hugely impressive although Lord Bath is an absolute raving eccentric and only lives in a small wing of the mansion nowadays, the actual park and grounds is brilliant. Don't do what I did and get lost in the human hedge maze, it's a very big one....lol

Been here back in 2002 & it has lots of diverse things like

,My friends daughter liked the monkeys/owls/wild dogs & such! yea i did notice the polar bear looked rather bored when i was there,Often wondered what sort of life that would have during the summer say,The monkeys & birds looked pleased enought thou

Best tell my kids to keep there eyes shut next summer then, coz they will want to go.
Hope they dont have restless nights from the horror that awaits

Last time I visited I camped in a pub garden for 3 nights and brought a 'passport ticket', which was fab value... It was less than £20 and I was able to use it to re-visit the safari park as often as I wanted until i had seen everything they had to offer!
PS, I also got VERY lost in the huge hedge maze and spent a good 2/3 hours (smoking pure spliffs) trying to get out...
