Just to clear things up a bit, Veteran's Day is for those that are living, that served. Memorial Day are for those that died. At least, that's my understanding of the way it is celebrated in the US. Peace.

That is not correct, Veteran's Day (which is not what is celebrated in Europe, that is Armistice Day) is to honor all vets, current and past, living and dead.
Memorial Day is only to honor those who fell in combat.

No worries, you were half-way there.
In the US, it is not about the end of WWI to the degree it is in France and the UK.

here's to all that have fallen in all conflicts,they never chose to,they never chose the where and when of it all and especially to the brave few who fell freeing holland so we could have the priviledge of being able to go to coffeeshops and visit holland in general...get a chance take a trip to arnhem and pay your respects to them( i know it happenend all over but that is the big allied cemetery)

We recently found out my Grandad (dads side) lied about his age so he could sign up for the first World War, history is so amazing once you find something about it that catches your interest.

Was Sad that My country men Died for What? so that the german dont get land?! and french and brits being to stuck up to give them land and the austro-bul other empires...you ever think that if germen would of got th chunk of land they wanted maybe WWII would of never accured?

Im sorry but aint talking about hilter here im talking about the GREAT WAR the FIRSTWAR WWI WORLD WAR ONE!at Hilter was in first was a soldier!
im saying if the german would of got the belgigum lex and...maybe the Party hilter joind in 1919 would of never been created and wwii would of never accured!

and the germany would be way bigger expanding from norway sweden france spain italy ALL that plus england (well the royal are of german blood would of changed anything but the language they speak) or maybe the holocaust would of accured in the UK and told the wolrd would be free of them pests?

i could just imagine all them brits Burning in the pizza ovens
i also wonder if Japon would of Drope a Nuc on the state how would they fill about that 60+years later? and japon would of tooken over after would we be speaking jap? and im guessing the american dream of the the 40's 50's where life look so simple would of been a living hell just like the japs
did you know 10year b4 the nuc of japan they was hit by eruption and earthquakes and 2 big city were almost destroyed and rebuild b4 the nuc hit them? ppor ppl only got like 600$ each in the 90's from the american gouverment for what they did to them and again what did the jews got and still getting? PFF!
