Android is open source![]()
you know the score!
its interesting to mess around w/. but the only thing i can personally see myself using it for is travel. and even then it doesn't do all i need a computer to do when im abroad. just not for me i guess.TRANCE wrote:Adroid is not all about Flash, although it's a bonus as opposed not, like Apple.
Ipad, imho, is probably worth about £200 when you handle one and check it out, my brother has one.
i can agree on the removable battery, but removable memory? i dont care about that, having the memory inbuilt gives faster accessing time.TRANCE wrote:Adroid is not all about Flash, although it's a bonus as opposed not, like Apple.

EDIT
My Android phone cost £400
Latest Iphone is still not open source and still don't offer Flash or removable battery/memory.

i bought the iphone 2g when it first came out and loved it, about a year later i got myself an android phone and decided to use that instead as i preferred it. Then about 3 months ago i got myself the new iphone. After using android for about a 2 years i can definitely say that the iphone is a better phone...It works quicker and seems much more reliable then the android o/s.
As for the apps, it would be good if there was a app that showed you where all the coffeeshops were instead of paying for the internet to use the map, as this costs a bomb.....How hard would it be to have a map as an app?
I have the lonely planet Amsterdam app. Since it's update a few weeks ago it actually pretty good, it has a zoomable map of ALL the areas of the city: centrum, jordaan, western canal belt, southern cb, vondel area, old south, de pijp, oosterpark, plantage and eastern dock land. Other than that there's loads of info on sights, shopping, places to eat etc.Adamster wrote:Anyone have or know of Apps for Iphone Ipad or Ipod of holland amsterdam... only one i found so far is the Lonely planet and Istore want 5$ for it![]()
