Tickets in Hand

Post by AzLaker »

Finally bought tickets for our trip in December. I was waiting for a little extra cash to come in, and BAM it's finally here. Found a great deal though British Airlines on Hotwire. The price was decent at $842 per, tax included, but what really got me was the length of the trip. Phoenix to London, an hour layover, then London to Amsterdam, all in 12hours 10 minutes. Knocks off at least 2 hours from each previous trips I've taken. On the return flight it's only 13hours 50 minutes, which is great. Most trips, it's 4 hours to 1st stop, then a long layover, then 9 hours to Amsterdam. Now it's a straight Transcontinental flight to London, then on to Amsterdam.
I know it's still 6 months away, but now that we've got our tickets, I must start packing now!!! :D Just kidding, not packing, just gotta buy some warm clothes. Don't need any in Arizona, where it's 105 today and the low is 85. Can't wait for winter!!! AzLaker 8)

Trying to check into the Rho last Month was funny...... we went between Nes and the reception desk 5 times..... and were sent away 4.... the rooms just weren't ready....

Everytime we went back to Nes we had another beer and another smoke....

I wasn't sure I could make it the last time, I let my mate do all the talkin..... Lucky we got in on the 5th attempt!

The wife and I will be there from 12/27 until 1/04. I hear celebrating New Year's in Amsterdam is something you'll never forget. Let's hook-up for a smoke if your going to be in town. AzLaker 8)

I agree Mazdog, that's why we jumped on it. The flight leaves at 7:40 pm, so we can sleep flying over to London, wake up, a quick flight to Amsterdam, arrive at 3:50pm and before you know it, we're at Rookies having a smoke and beer. AzLaker 8)
