New member from Australia - will be in the dam 4th-7th Jan

Post by PomInSydney »

Hey everyone - well after many false starts and cancelled trips I am finally all booked up and ready to go. I'm heading back home to England (Brighton) for the first time in 6 years and have managed to squeeze in a quick 3 night trip to Amsterdam. I have been a long time smoker but having not lived in England for 11 years I have never made it over to Amsterdam.

I'm travelling solo - any hints and tips will be gratefully received. I'm 35 so not a youngster anymore, but I can out smoke/dance (!) most people I meet!

I'm staying at Hotel Nadia, trip advisor loves it, but can anyone comment?

Be great to meet up with some people whilst I'm in town, feel free to message me.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

welcome to the forum

i just want to double-check that you have read the document How not to get hit by a bike from the excellent S G Collins website recommended by FlyByNite

if you have already read the document, then thanks, but if not, then please please read before you arrive to ensure your safety in the crazy amsterdam traffic, and thanks

have a great trip ...
