''jackz'' in the uk
Re: ''jackz'' in the uk
yeh the viet situation is a major problem.
the most confusing thing is the fact that gardeners are imprisoned in UK before deportation.... with a cost of 60k per year to the tax payer (theyve already paid 3k a hour for the helicopter to find the gardener)
that, and that alone, is why the drug market in the UK will NEVER be legalised!

Surely that amount of money being SPENT is reason enough to legalise (and then tax) weed, turning that deficit into a profit....bigs wrote:yeh the viet situation is a major problem.

Re: ''jackz'' in the uk
a profit for who, though?
sorry, going all david icke on the thread
and to be honest, think about -
helicopter 3k an hour
police 15p p/h x 10 raiding officers
judge - fuck knows! 10k an hour?
legal aid - a lot.
prison - 60k per year.
probation perhaps 2k.
Even if they make a 50% tax of weed, I still think more revenue would be generated from the above

If you watch any of the cannabis prohabition movies the main reason they dont legalise it is they cant tax people, you dont get taxed for growing some spuds or tomatoes at home and imo thats why they haven't put a stop to all the grow shops that have sprung up or the people selling seeds, the government keep it illegal but make money off it anyway.

Definately for that reason boner that they aren't legalising it, as bigs says the incentive is there. And yeah someone there still making money as it is.
The costs are crazy but bigs reckon the helicopter already on some other business and scanning the heat at the same time maybe? All your other estimations seem quite reasonable!
Anyway finally yeah a lot of the skunk in the uk is homegrown, but I doubt it's close to 90 percent. The vietnamese shit damp, a lot of the import is "dutch" as bigs mentioned but there is still lovely cro out there.. my guess is a lot of that nicely cured shit here in and around london is import.

Imported from the suburbs. Boner's right. In fact, I think it was on one of the recent weed documentaries on TV, but I'm sure I remember hearing that the UK now exports more weed than it imports? Could be wrong.
Re: ''jackz'' in the uk
I also like to disagree with you boner, although you seem to know a lot. Now when i got my 2 garms worth it was not from the same dealer that i have been going for years! This KC that i got, i guess that would be casey jones, or is there a bud out there called just KC, as this was written on my bag when i got it, is very strong no stigs or stems, when put in crusher i get more out then when putting the local "cheese"haze" in it.Boner wrote:Hardly anything you buy in the Uk is imported now, the dealers call it all Dutch Import to get the best price possible, I'd guess 95% of whats available in the UK is grown here.
I smoked one small J and it knocked me back, so far that i knocked out on the couch and woke up in the eve.
What i am tryin to say is this..Yes 80% of the time, you been given the same shit that we all get, so called cheese, haze and so forth, but every now and then stuff from dam comes over. Ths last time i had silver bubble, and we all know where that comes from.

but if you was to make your own beer u get taxed so. . . . ?
Re: ''jackz'' in the uk
Theres lots of growers out there doing there thing in the UK, some only grow for themself (I'm one of them) others do it for a living and sell their gear, I know loads and know of even more, the underground scene here is fucking huge and I can guarantee things like Casey Jones (KC could be the same or it could be one of many strains that are named KC followed by a number) is being grown here in the UK, the cut that is being grown and sold in Holland came from a pack of seeds a UK grower started, the original Cheese cutting that made its way over there came from the UK, Franco got his cut from someone in the UK, I'd be surprised if it's only 95% of whats grown here is sold here it's probably more like 98%, the majority if import is 'thai' 'jamacian' and most the hash.
Look at it this way, find a strain you like in Amsterdam and for the most part the seed is available, there are a few clone only strains but most of those aren't really what the coffeeshops are selling them as, I could quite easily buy some Silver Bubble seeds just like any of the other growers. http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/re ... d_691.html

How so? apart from the tax on the equipment needed I dont see how they could tax you anymore?Dava wrote:Boner wrote:If you watch any of the cannabis prohabition movies the main reason they dont legalise it is they cant tax people, you dont get taxed for growing some spuds or tomatoes at home and imo thats why they haven't put a stop to all the grow shops that have sprung up or the people selling seeds, the government keep it illegal but make money off it anyway.

This is true but isn't it tolerated in Holland to grow a few plants for personal use? Yet their government is making a shit load of money (not only off of tourists but Dutch locals) off of it......Boner wrote:If you watch any of the cannabis prohabition movies the main reason they dont legalise it is they cant tax people, you dont get taxed for growing some spuds or tomatoes at home and imo thats why they haven't put a stop to all the grow shops that have sprung up or the people selling seeds, the government keep it illegal but make money off it anyway.
People could easily start their own 'closet grow' or buy a tent etc now, yet dealers are still making money because people can't be bothered to grow their own. I really can't see a drastic change in that whether it is legal or not.

yep i've had several dealers offering 'dutch import' which is light green, dry, fluffy & 'soft', usually small buds and varies in quality from bad to tolerable. It's probably not imported, but 'interestingly' i had stuff actually imported from nl once which was identical in appearance to this stuff. It's a bit like the bad white widow or ak etc that you get 6-7e/g in some touristy coffeeshops.
