I share your sadness, I had what was my greatest coffeeshop experiance in PF.
There's a story here somewhere (hint) :D
It was my first visit there and everything was perfect, the weed (I'm 99.9% sure it was Mothers Finest) was as good as it gets, the staff were amazing (tall Dutch guy, forgot his name now maybe Richard?) he put David Gilmours live dvd on and I was just mesmerised, then I went to the toilet which was the first time I'd peed in a black light and it felt like I was tripping.

Paradox - Probably been the one shop i desire to visit each day im in Dam (whether i get round to visiting it everyday is another "stoners" story)

Grey Area (and getting a seat) - Always seems perfect when you get in there and theres no queue and even better when you've just bought ure bud and a table becomes free

-Club Meida - Always quality bud always friendly, big screen that seems to always show football :-)
Excuse me while I light my Spliff.....

For me...

Paradox
Had some great times in here over the years, very friendly staff, great little smoke menu, good food and drink. I'd get a nice couple of grams of BioGreen or NY Chiesel, a Banana milkshake and a veggie burger and spend a couple of hours reading. Bliss.

Stix (Korte Koningsstraat)
Love it in here, area is really nice. Had some of my best smokes here, never had a bad deal in many years. Lovely people too, always a bit eclectic/eccentric, always very helpful. I'd be having a gram of White Chocolate and a cappuccino to kick start the day!

Het Ballontje
Love the 'feel' of this place because it's not in the main centrum and never gets too crowded. A nice lemon tea with some White Balloon would go down a treat!

Honourable mentions go to Bluebird, Kashmir Lounge, Greenhouse Tolstraat, La Tertulia, and De Graal.

Bit of fun amongst a mountain of gloom eh? :)

Betty Too - some new place for me. Not bad:)

Basjoe - There is only one King!
Dampkring - Outstanding Riffman, esp. Aziza and Malaki(sp?)
Grey Area - Just about everything, esp. Martian Mean Green when at its best.
Honorable Mention: Mellow Yellow for their S5 Haze and Blueberry Ice Hash.

So many choices, if only...

Ha! Was it the bald guy? He is cool.

I love how in Stix they come round with a jar of sweets to each table every now and again, for free obviously, other shops might do it but never while i've been in

Service indeed

Very , very nice youngish lady - who was so friendly - laughed at my useless rolling skills (probably cos a bit taken in with the ability to buy and smoke in a coffee shop - I practice , when I get the chance with tobacco at home - and can do an OK-ish cigarette) - anyway , she just takes the weed and a Camel blue , knocks out about 3 spliffs -and presents them in a clear take home bag. Walked past the police on the way back - with bag in hand. !

If I go again - she is there - and no tourist restrictions - she gets a bunch of flowers at least.

And as for the gent Ludo in Paradox ...."would you like a water pipe ?" - all so matter of fact etc , with real friendlines. Ditto Amesia - big effort to get a nice , clean glass pipe from the staff. Quality.

Gotto go again - told my misses - she doesnt mind if I go for another indulgence trip !!!
