i have been to iberostar in montego bay.. great food, great hotel and great smoke... lots of it. i was smoking everywhere

i also went to the grand bahia principe in runaway bay (near ocho rios) and the smoke was absolutely amazing. i was getting it still on the stem, 12-24 inch long buds just folded up and handed to me. not even in a bag. hahahah all green as green can be. nice and tight buds and very sticky.

i would highly recommend either hotel. both were very smoker friendly. the cleaning staff even took out the roaches from my ashtray and threw out all the cigarettes and left the roaches behind for me.

Love the report and comments Cat. Just back from Island hoping in the East Caribbean as you know and managed to score, albeit at rip off tourist prices but what the hell, in every Island execept P.Rico (didn't trust the muvers). See you in the Dam end April..... can't wait.

I was in Negril in December,and all cattales1960 said is true. Lot's of great weed to be had,and I had no problem smoking on the beach or on my balcony.I Also saw people smoking in a couple of different bars there,with nothing being said about it. And also for some added information, in Negril,go to Ted's Mushroom Shack. I had some nice mushroom tea and also bought some fresh mushrooms there. The ocean waves,sea breeze and sunset on the Beach that night was amazing while tripping on the shrooms. Yes,they are legal there. Go if you can,you will not regret it.

Sorry to bump an old thread...I'm going to Jamaica in a month and this is all good news!

What prompted the bump is that last part about shrooms - I googled it and it seems while maybe not technically legal, you can easily get shrooms in Negril...too bad I chose to stay in Ocho Rios, had I known about the shrooms I'd have probably chosen a resort in Negril...

My wife won't do "drugs", but if it's "legal" she suddenly has a change of heart...she will smoke and eat spacecakes in Amsterdam...I expect once she sees how open it is in Jamaica she will smoke there too...I also think she might try shrooms if it's as "normal" as walking into a restaurant and ordering it...

I think this info should be more well-known! But then again, the shroom forum here doesn't get a lot of action...I guess most of us just want to smoke...It's probably been 15 years since I've done shrooms, think it would be fun again...

The effects can be fun, but recovering from the food poisoning the next day sucks ass. Not worth it...IMHO to each their own.

Yes it did SKy and Im really bummed about it. we all wanted to go back there in dec. Oh well, lots of other places to go there. that was just a very nice resort.

ZBEEB, you will have a blast no matter where you stay. I would advise not to buy from the guys at the airport. Its not as good of stuff as the stuff you can get out on the island elsewhere. The mushrooms, well, some people brought them in our group. I do not do them anymore but alot of people did trip. Im sure if you ask around you will be able to get it. Your going to have a blast.

Also I know its approximately an hour from Montego Bay/Airport to Negril. What is the best way to get there from airport? Do they have like a bus or taxis are best? Thats about all we are lacking info on is how to get from airport and back again at a decent cost.

Hi there. Your going to have a blast. Well here is a few tips for your jamaica trip. First are you staying at an all inclusive? If youa re they should have shuttles. contact the place you booked thru. If not, be careful when selecting a cab. Make sure they have the legitimate placard that states they are regulated thru the government. If it looks shady just tell them no thanks. DOnt be shy, ask them to show there placard. (Im not sure thats what they call them but they are usually on the dash board and some also have them in the windows of the car). When you get to the airport, talk to the help desk. They will nto steer you wrong because of the big things in Jamaica is that they want to keeo their tourist safe. Thy will help you get a decent cab. Make sure the price is set also for where ever you go. If you feel its too high, tell them and they may bring it down.
Once in the cab, kind of feel out the cab driver for smoke. But ususally the best smoke in not by the cab drivers or shuttle drivers. Just use common sense but its everywhere so you wil not have too much problems scoring! Have a great trip and we want to hear about it.

wow i wud luv to go to jamaica but ..its too expensive,since i live in europe i would have to get a plane to the states which costs wel into triple figures then get a second plane to jamiaca..then back!
for now it will have to smoke imports
