It's in the works in my area.

What was the original implementation date they gave on that now? Was it November 2010? Or 2011?

Pointless worrying about it I suppose. I'm going to enjoy my trip at the end of Jan as if it's my last!

Doubt I will book for 420 though just yet...

Boner: I should have made it clearer but i witnessed smoking in some quite large bars that were certainly more than owner run.

My wife and I were sitting in Hill Street on the Market tonight talking about this very issue and for me I voted the pass but ignored. Maybe it's because everything in the dam seems the same... Nobody is really talking about it and there's no tension or vibe in the air.

Maybe it's denial, I remember the Jews never thought the German people would go along with the nazi's.

I voted for this coming into place in the next 12 months. I'm assuming that the coalition will be rushing the legislation - possibly 18 months.
Nonetheless I am pencilling in a visit to The Dam in February/March 2010 and am assuming that it will be the last one to feature visits to Coffeshops.

The more I think about it worst case the shops are members only then we're back to square one, circa 1973 ... You'll see smoke friendly cafes opening up with low licensing issues everywhere and weed will be sold in the corner quietly by the dealer, just like mellow yellow back in the day. Who knows, it may be exciting if the cops aren't tossing us in jail!
