Hey Everyone,
Thanks to Lemming for letting me join this forum. I have referred to the Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory for my previous trips to the Dam but never noticed the associated forums. I sure am glad I noticed the forums this time around (as I prepare for a New Years trip) because there are a lot of great resources throughout the threads I've seen. For one, I will be in the Dam from 1/1/11 - 1/9/11 and am excited to find others to hang out with during my stay. I look forward to visiting this forum in the future and am honored to be a part of this community.
I have been smoking herb for the last 20 years. I started using a vaporizer about 5 years ago but still find myself smoking a fair amount. I began growing my own back in 2004 after my 2nd trip to the Dam. I was so depressed by the "beasters" I had to return home to that I decided to start growing some chronic. I won't get into the specifics of my setup here but I am proud to say I've grown some serious quality for several years now. Of course, that usually means I smoke much more than I need to since it's always free!
Over the past couple years I've realized I'm not getting any younger and decided to slow down a bit. I've gone from consuming 3+ grams a day to about a 1/2 gram per day. I feel much better and am much more productive. Although I've always known it, it has taken me a while to really learn that herb is a gift and should never be abused.
I'm happy to be a member of this forum and look forward to getting to know you all. Again, thanks for having me.
