The problem i have is that its a curpake mix (betty crocker) and it says oil instead of butter.

You can use butter instead of oil, I do when I use the box mix.

I remember when I was about 15 and living in France me and my mate go a half an oz of really nice maroc polm, but as I was at his house and his parents were totally anti smoking so we made some hash tea, which was basically 2g a piece in hot water and then eating hot has sludge, it was really horrible and gave absolutely fuck all effect. Then after falling asleep I woke up in fits of uncontrollable laughter, almost pissing myself laughing with massive closed eyes hallucinations, I didn't stop laughing for a good three hours. I have never been so wrecked in all of my life and had a full day of school after. You have to be careful eating weed/hash when doing it yourself as the cakes you get in CS's do not have the advertised quantity of ganja in them. Some claim to a gram in them, but the only charge 5 euros?

Quite agree about the quantities Im pretty sure in the 80's / 90's they had more in, but there was loads of stories and bad publicity about people doing daft things from heights etc and I recall the rumours where the c/s toned them down across the board. No idea how reliable that is, could be bollox, but I did used to regard them as mental Russian roulette back then so maybe they really were stronger? What do you reckon?

i honestly would be wary of trying that cake myself. if the bud is decent, 1.25gs in a single dose would ruin me.

That seems VERY strong. I just made some brownies with 0.4 grams per slice and that was strong enough, 3 of them (which is the same amount of weed as that slice above) would be ridiculous!

I ate a whole paradox space cake with a friend (we had one each) before going to the amsterdam zoo, we were high before eating but we didn't smoke after, my friend got high but still okay and I had no effect, it just kept the high I already had at the same level...

I'm sure there is 1.25g in this, but not of top shelf weed, maybe of their biogreen/purple/...

Lol yeah I'm french so I get the same kind of polm, once I ate about 0.5g (boiled in oil then mixed in a yoghourt) and I was fucking stoned (hardcore body AND mental high lol) for about 10 hours

you can get very high from edible marijuana. I actually made butter and oil. I used 28gms of quality bud (not shake and leaves), ground it very fine, and with the butter the ratio was 28 gms to 4 sticks of butter( one pound here in the US). I melted the butter in a double boiler and placed the ground pot in there and simmered it for 1 1/2 hours. Then strained thru a cheese cloth. The oil I used 28 gms of quality bud ground and 3 1/2 cups of veggie/canola oil mix. I put the oil in a double boiler and added the bud and infused (simmered) it for 2 1/2 hours. The result was very strong brownies and rice krispie treats.

ALso the space cupcakes DC had at the 420 party at Nes were strong. I saved mine for the next day and ate it for breakfast. I was very buzzed. So I think it all depends on how long you simmer it and how good is the smoke your adding.

Im thinking of trying out my first bake tomorrow. Im planning on using only 1.5g of bud because I have never had edibles before and not sure if ill like them and also I don't want to waste bud on the first go if I somehow mess up making the cannabutter.

So for the 1.5g of bud, I am thinking that I need about 25g's of butter. Does it matter if I use salted butter? I will be using the boiling water trick then cheese cloth to strain.
Ill most probably use a cake mix, if the cake requires more than the 25gs of butter, can I just add more normal butter for the cake?

Sorry if this info is else where but I couldn't see it.

So I have found out that I need unsalted butter.

Has anybody ever made a small amount so just 5 individual cakes before? What was your recipe.
