What's the News in Den Bosch?

Post by Sacred Clown »

I'm planning to travel to netherlands again in April and wonder if there is any news on the North Brabant coffeeshops, particually Den Bosch? Are they enforcing the no-tourist ban? are the few coffeeshops there even still open?

any news gratefully appreciated

SC :?

Was there late October and it was all cool then, so April, maybe maybe :?
What a long strange trip it is.

Was there in June . Shortly after we briefly met you and those -inho fellers at Basjoes. Menus posted to Fly by Nights site from those I got shots at . ..Image Speak Easy...

Love the town , sort of a wacky , dare I say clownish feel to the place///maybe its the Hieronymous Bosch critters scattered about
Image

Hope the scene survives ...they WERE very strict about ID . We visited Meetpoint , Speakeasy, Chipendales and the Grass Company (take a left as you exit the station) other 3 across the river in the centrum. Got a rather soggy Gram at Chips ...otherwise decent enough smokes...Somewhere in the trip report annals a bit more depth... Hope you'll give us an update if you make it there.

Fantastic! Thanks for posting these.

Had had a great time at Basjoes! I remember we were all smoking and laughing.
I ended up going to the red light district and someone stole my jacket when i was taking pics.
such a stupid tourist, me.

i am hoping they don't deny me at these cs in den bosch. not really wanting to go all the way to amsterdam just for a smoke.

cheers

Hello S.C. we only visited the Speak Easy on this trip as we just did a flying visit. Heres the bit in StonedSince'67's trip report about it.
soon we arrived at den bosch and parked the car at the transferium on the edge of town which provided car parking for the day and a bus into and out of the centrum for both of us for 2 euros in total

we made our way to the coffeeshop speak easy on snellesstraat in den bosch ... there was security at the door and we had to show our ids, both of used our passports so the security guy had a name and a photo to make him happy, the security was tough but done in good humour ... once inside i made my enquiries about the super silver haze at 2.5g for 25 euros (10e per gram) and was presented with a little bag which we took with our coffees back into the smoking room ... the atmosphere inside was good and we took the two empty chairs across from a couple of polite youngsters

i don't remember much about the interior as i was so focused on the super silver haze ... this was one of my favourite strains and the price was good and it was my first dutch smoke of the trip and ... it was all too much ... the weed, of course, was gorgeous ... it prepared easily by hand, rolled nicely, smoked divinely, and gave the most lovely of stones

i was very happy ...

meantime spidey had pulled out his magic flight vapouriser which had just arrived in the post the day before and he was still getting into the routine with it ... as a thank-you for inviting me along i offered him half of the ssh and he prepared his little machine with what his instructions called a 'load' ... this amounted to maybe 0.2 to 0.3 of a gram laying along a screen trough whose top edge was surrounded by a copper wire which became hot when the battery was pushed in and made contact ... no flame, just vapourised thc

spidey was very happy ...

the youngsters across the table became interested in the magic flight vapo and spidey gave them a demonstration with a fresh load of ssh and they each had a go with it ... they too were happy with the taste and the effect of the hit

before heading back to the car and the journey to eindhoven to check-in at the hotel in time for the t&t with cisco we wandered around the town ... boy, was i stoned and it seemed to me that i was walking across the market square in a long curved arc when i was trying to walk a straight line ... it was as if there was a strong cross-wind ... but there wasn't any cross-wind, just the effects of the ssh

after a salmon roll at la place in den bosch we returned on the bus to the car park ... as it was on the edge of town we were soon away and into eindhoven in good time for the t&t at the grasshopper

It is a beautiful little provincial city with lots to see and some years ago my wife and I spent a few days there. It's obviously very Jeronimous Bosch centred, very trippy walking around the little streets buzzed up I can tell you. So like epsilon says, long may it survive.

I really can't wait to go now! The discription of the coffeeshop reminds me of when i once lived in Deventer in 1999 and there were five c/s there, i frequented the Froggery and had a friendship with the girl who worked there.

I am really hoping Den Bosch is wimsical and wonderful.
This was a very well written trip report.
cheers

here's something I found looking at the Newspapers today ,regarding den Bosch and the Weitpas

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... rmd%3Divns

I took the liberty of having it translated ... not sure how good google is at getting this right , maybe one better in Nederlands could read the original article .
