No ive not been to liege! but it is just across the border (about 30 mins) from maastricht,I have been to antwerpen thou 8),Going back to belgium again in april as it happens but i cant decide between brugge or antwerpen "again",Ps i would check antwerp if i were you man! you wont regret it as brussels looks a little rundown if you ask me,Antwerp has tons of little squares/gothic buildings/bars/museums/little streets/cafe`s & restuarants for you to pick over,You cant go wrong + the prices are ok for food & a bed 8),Ps check these webbys out

Hey no problem,But personaly i would go to liege if i were you! a half day trip tops as you only have 2 days this time,That way your not wasting time with trains to much & you can still have the bulk of your time to do the maastrict thing as well,& yea let us know how you got on & where you decided to go 8),KD.

Made it to Maastricht Sat afternoon. Went to Maxcys and the folks were real friendly. They check your ID which is funny because I am older then dirt but none the less they have too. They have a small bar where you can sit and also a separate glass enclosure if you want to smoke there. The budtender was very nice and helpful and offering items from mellow to wasted depending on what you wanted. There were many shops spread throughout Maastricht and everyone in town was nice. The river was really raging so no boat rides but there were plenty sites, restaurants, shops, etc to check out. Parking seems to be tough there. A really great place to visit and the weather fortunately was great!
