hello there! this is my first post and recap of my 4 days in the dam in october 2009. 2nd trip is coming up in march for 10 days. thanks for all of the excellent information, this website is a goldmine!

Camping Zeeburg - http://www.campingzeeburg.nl/
-The best place to stay if you can handle sleeping in a tent. €7.00/person a night(mid-season) for a campsite. weirdly secluded from everything yet still close and very safe. only 15 minutes into town by the 7 or 14 tram witch you pick up from Flevopark. clean hot showers, restrooms, laundry facility, bar, restaurant (great breakfast for €5.00), general store etc. very beautiful and on the water. there were more families than hippy tourist stoners(which was awesome) i believe it is smoker friendly because of the guys next to us constantly ripping bongs/steamrollers out in the open camp field lol. little farm on site with goats, chickens etc. they had small cabins with bunk beds available for around 30.00 a night if you don't like tents. i would recommend this place to everyone and this is where i will stay every time i visit amsterdam.





Cannabis and Hemp Museum -

€9.00 - kind of boring and small, but there is a nice display of the history of dutch/worldwide cannabis and hemp use. nothing you couldn't read or look at on the internet. highlight was the grow room set up, 5/6 plants just about to flower. apparently they give free volcano vaporizer hits but we missed that time.


Lovers Boat Cruise - kind of cheesy, but a great way to see the city. i would suggest something like this first to see how the town is layed out. we went on last day and seemed boring because we already saw the entire route the boat made. regardless its beautiful and a nice way to kill an hour with your lady.
€12.00 - but there is 10% discount cards everywhere, just keep your eyes open

Graffiti was also impressive!






just walking around was simply breath taking. amsterdam is a very beautiful town..











Vondelpark - very beautiful part of town, outside the tourist area, park was a wonderful place to enjoy the last day in the Dam

- lounge trip hop, coffee was shit, but great service and selection
**** chocolope (Chocolate Thai x Cannalope Haze) - €12.00 - sativa - earthy sweet baking cocoa

De Kroon - Oudebrugsteeg 26
-nice comfortable dark lit cafe, live djs spinning drum&bass/house, cleaned glass bong
****bubble gum - 2gr/€18.00 - hybrid indica/sativa - dry, sweet smell and fruity taste



Cafe 420 - Oudebrugsteeg 27
-quiet bar for an older crowd, very nice staff, classic rock, you can bring sandwiches in an eat, which is nice because most places want you to eat their shit over priced food

***super silver haze - €13.00 - mostly sativa - earthy, spicy, dense, very stoned feeling, nose tickling
***pavati's creme hash - €13.00 - dense, strong




Barney's - Haarlemmerstraat 102

-small cafe vibe, very knowledgeable about product and was more than willing to answer questions about different strains. volcano vaporizer for use
*****G-13 Haze - €14.00 - indica - crazy looking dark glowing green nuggets with super dense swollen calyxes, sweet spice wood flavor - strong!
*****Helter Skelter Isolator Hash - €35.00 - sticky dense, very nice high

Grey Area - Oude Leliestraat 2

- 4 tables, and the best smoke in town imo. guy working was very knowledgeable about their product and was making small convo, where u from, what smoke i like etc...
***Chiesel (NY Diesel x Cheese) - €11.50 - earthy spicy leather - very pungent aroma
*****LA Confidential - €13.00 - indica - very beautiful looking crystally sticky nuggets, smelled/tasted kushy/piney with sweet lemon overtones
*******Grey Grains Iceolater Hash - €25.00 - noticeably stronger and tastier than the other hashes, came as crystals, nice to spread over a blunt



The Buschdoctor - Amstel 36

-very expensive, 2 gr minimum. first shop i was "uncomfortable" in. here is your drugs and gtfo kind of vibe, cool multi story lounge area with vending machines, black sabbath was the music choice
*Blueberry - 2gr/€16.50 - tasted like shit, felt like a waste of money, rolled it all up and mixed with a little bubble gum for flavor sake
Dampkring 2- Haarlemmerstraat 44

-uncomfortable vibe, was raining outside and as soon as i walked in, was still holding the door for my lady, not even a second to react the guy behind the counter yelled at to take of my hood and hat. however nice modern lounge, all the buds were under glass counter for inspection. microscope set up for closer look. very crowded and the guy was not interested in answering any questions, especially about their "exclusive" strain of Riffman Hash
****Rifman Habibi hash €15.00 - very sticky, strong, spicy pepper

Greenhouse Lounge - Haarlemmerstraat 64
-very nice place, comfortable, massive fish tank in the floor to blow your mind, staff was very helpful and answered questions, playing cheesey pop music though
***** OG Kush - €11.00 - very strong, stinky spicy leather

Amnesia Cafe - Herengracht 133

- prob my favorite shop out of the ones i visited. exteremly knowlegdeable on their product with full info on THC and CBD/CBG percentage with detailed descriptions. best coffee i had in a shop as well. most i found was over priced and small, but this was a decent size and actually good. the guy was more than willing to help me with the volcano vaporizer because i never used one. those things are sick btw
***amnesia haze - €13.00 - sativa - very distinct taste and smell, strong stoned



Kokopelli "Conscious Dreams" - Warmoesstraat 12

***Dolphins Delight - €12.50/10gr - very very mild but nice and clean, mental trip was nice, body and visuals were not strong enough to mention. i would suggest eating the 15gr box or 2x10gr boxes for a nice solid trip. shop tender not very helpful either, but a very nice display of live Ayahuasca and Peyote cactus among other herbal stimulants, art, grinders, bowls etc..

Greenhouse Effect - Warmoesstraat 53
--cool bar/hostel with lots of cool people and you can smoke a freshly cleaned bong right at the bar. cheap drinks. playing drum&bass.

Nice report and great pictures. Amnesia has ended up being on of my faves as well (both the strain and the coffeeshop!).

You can never have to many photos in my opinion.
