Well with what, 22 sets of lungs uptp now and 10-4-4 on the 3 boats respectfully?. What is the expected turn up count on the day I wander?. And are we going to cap those doing the boat trip by date or allow bodies to just turn up and fill any vacated places on the day?. As wont HB need a no more than body count to make sure he has the skipper cover or something?. Or is it the skippers will be available for a second trip if required I wander?. Does look like barring the odd 1 or 2 added in the last week or 2 that the above list has been pretty much the same for about 3 weeks or more now.

No way I can roll up on steady ground so will have to make bloody sure I've a few sorted before climbing aboard :)

Amongst the 13 pages of this thread you will find what you seek. To recap, it has been mentioned of having a cut-off date so as to make the proper reservations and all that. The forum decided to go with HB (thanks again HB), I think there is some wiggle room to join the crew, as compared to piloted commercial craft with limited seating. If there are numerous people who show at the last minute, a second trip has been planned (approx. 3pm), along with a back-up plan in case of rain. Oh wait, no back-up, the pointy thing goes that way. Huh?

Happy boating...

Nar, did'nt mean my post to sound like that, sorry if it did.

What I meant was has HB asked for a total count to make arrangements and has a cutoff date for atendees been decided yet?. And has he even agreed to make available boats and skippers for a possable second trip?.

Your post was cool, no worries from this end...
...although you might want to watch out for the pointy part of the boat. Some boats even have two pointy parts, the buggers. :) Trad?

I think during earlier discussions the first week of April was mentioned as a cut-off, which gives people the time to figure out their travel plans, etc...

  What?? Are you shitting me Ron?? Two pointy ends?? :? :?
You couldn't tell if you were coming or going. I sure hope that HB's boat isn't one of those wierd things

DaveJ, all is under control my friend...remain calm. 8) 8) 8) Step away from the keyboard...
I'll be talking to HB next Saturday to finalize our plans with him, long in advance of the tour date. All you have to worry about is getting sea sick and hope to hell that only one end of the boat is pointy or we are royally f*cked.
See you all soon. This is going to be a blast.

Never done a boat trip in Dam myself so also looking forwards to that as 1 of the highlights if not the highlight of the trip for me. By the sounds of things HB could sure make a bit of money doing a load of smoking tours of the canals with his boats etc. As I know I'd always do the boat tour with every trip if allowing smoking.

Anyone heard from Trad or HB to confirm the boat trip is sorted to the point we only have to turn up?.

It's all good and if I'm not mistaken from what Trad said, the guy now has a bigger boat, big enough to hold all of us on one trip.
I guess will find out on the 21st.

hey guys.. I might not make it for the boat trip anymore, as I have a meeting at 10am on the 21st.

If I'm finished in time, I'll race over to Voyagers to meet you all and see if theres any room on the boat.
