trip report 25-26 jan

Alarm went of at 3.30am quick brew and shower etc me and the mrs were ready for taxi to collect us,taxi rolls up at 4.30 get half way to airport and mrs has forgot her bag so had to go back for it,eventually at the airport and 40 pounds lighter due to taxi fare,already checked in online so straight thru security and to costa coffee.flight left manchester slightly late at 7.10am nice flight over compared to last trip report lol.so disembark the plane and proceed to head to passport control and met the soundest guy behind the desk,he was having a laugh asking us where were from so i told him manchester and he was saying hope your not a hooligan lol he was just jokin around,i asked him to stamp my passport and he said its a 10 euro charge due to recession lol after he stamped it we set off on our way to hear him shout enjoy the coffee shops.next stop was starbucks for a latte and then to get train tickets.train was already waiting as we went downstairs,love the train ride into the dam,thats when i start thinking where im gonna go etc first and what im gonna buy,after getting off the train we head straight to voyagers to check in.we were very early but it was no problem,guy who takes the bookings forgot to book us in but luckily they had room available and highly blessed from forum let us do late check out for free due to the bookings guy forgetting.so quick trip upstairs and dropped all the gear off and straight out to score some bud.we headed into the red light area and i popped into hill street blues at the market for 3 grams of the special which is a hindu kush x shiva,i had some in august and november and it was a nice smoke.also picked up 3 gram northern lights due to bud tenders reccomendation.the latter was for a friend.english bud tender was sound and gave me some free papers and pack of roaches.we had a good chat about the closure of coffee shops and he said he will be going back to england if they close up,but hes hopeful it wont come to that as there all prepared to fight it.so we left hill street and next stop was green place,bud tender was very helpful showing me all the strains and giving me the run down on them all,he reccomended the grape ape so i bought a gram of it and 2 gram of trainwreck plus 2 grams of widow.we then headed towards resin coffee shop and theres a big long shopping street near there(i forget the name) me and the mrs stopped off for a english breakfast in a bar/restaraunt place,wasnt impressed with it at all cost 25 euro for 2 breakfast and 2 hot chocolate.mrs was tired as we only had about 2 hours sleep before leaving for airport so we went back to voyagers and had a quick sleep for a hour or 2 after smoking a northern lights joint(which blew my head off,never known it to be so strong,but then again could have been down to fact id hardly slept and was tired).so after a quick nap we got up showered and ready to go out again.next stop was grey area,first time visiting here and i was blown away with the quality of the bud.bud tender was on phone and quite rude,he was serving my first gram while on phone,after he got off he apologised and was running me thru everything,i bought 1 g silver bubble,1g chocolope,1g casey jones and 1g golden soles hash.we then headed into the shopping plaza whilst the mrs did some shopping.back to voyagers to drop some shopping off and a quick half hour chill.we then left to get some dinner as it was around 6pm now,stopped at a place off the damrak (forget the name) was ok but nothing to shout about.we headed off towards haarlemmerstraat,first stop was greenhouse for a gram of nepalese temple ball,then onto barneys to sample the tangerine dream and the vanilla kush.after spending a couple of hours around haarlemmerstraat i was on the munchies so decided to grab a mcdonalds on the damrak,which was cold and had to go back,reminded me why i dont bother with mcd's lol.then it was back to voyagers after a quick stop at albert heijn and stock up on munchies.bought 2 grams of amnesia and couple grams of purple strawberry bliss from voyagers,was having a spliff n chat with hb and left my mrs sat on her own bored as she dosent smoke she kept looking over giving me that look,so i decided to make an exit and go for a mooch with her around the red light so she wasnt just sat bored.had a walk around taking all the sights in and witnessed a piss can go head first over his handle bars onto the floor and lay there for a few mins n tried to ride off again shouting stuff in dutch.around 11pm we went back to the hotel to chill out and get a proper smoke on.purple straw bliss was a nice smoke not as strong as i thought thou,silver bubble was nice as the casey jones and chocolope.i was so stoned i slept in some fucked up position and my neck was agony the next morn(still is as i type this).we woke up late the following day about half 11.quick shower and pack we headed downstairs to hand hb the keys and check out.said our goodbyes(you will not meet a safer budtender in the dam) and we went out for some breakfast and to do some last min shopping and errands.back to central station for half 2 and was at schipol by 3,spent some time browsing the shops and grabbed a starbucks and bite to eat.flight left at 5pm on time,and before we knew it we were back in uk wishing i was back in the dam.so until next time(march) i will be dreaming again of this lovely country.i have lots of pics i will put up later and menu shots from a few places

Wow, thats a hell of a lot of gear just for yourself in 1 day. Seems to be more and more asking to get there passport stamped these days, thanks for tharing your trip with us 2 some fine reading there.

a qeustion where did u book voyagers? do they have a website for the hotel? i couldnt find anything in google....im planning my next trip soon with my brother and we havent decided yet where to stay....but voyagers sounds good!
