Trip Report, 31/01 - 01/02

My first trip of the year....here goes 
Was landed, checked in etc by 10.30. I'm usually starving at this point but this time I wasn't, therefore, first stop: Hunters.
Walked in to this empty coffeeshop to see one of my favourite bud tenders (dont know his name, but he is the one with the long-ish black hair at the shop next to Hunters Bar). I got 1g of Amnesia Haze (~e12.5/g), Chocolope and Super King Hassan (e10.5). On previuos trips Hunters Amnesia had been my favourite smoke, on more than one occasion, however this time I was unimpressed with the looks, smell and taste (it serves me right for ordering a gram without seeing it!!). The chocolope is a fantastic example (never had a bad batch from Hunters). I asked for a reccomendation on some hash, the guy said that I HAD to buy the Super King Hassan, one look and I was sold. This is a soft, oily hash with an excellent smell and taste, all for e10.50!!
Next I thought I'd head towards Haarlemmerstraat for Dampkring/Barneys. Was getting quite hungry at this point so I chose Dampkring first for a smoke and a toastie. After a quick look at the weed menu I decided upon some Bubba Kush (no idea on price but I'm pretty sure it was the 'top shelf' weed) which turned out to be an amazingly powerful smoke.....AMAZINGLY POWERFUL! Also got 1g of Super Habibi.....in my eyes the perfect hash - soft, lovely smell and very powerful. Thought I'd also mention that I had a Ham & Cheese toastie from here too....very tasty and I remember thinking it was reasonably priced (I was very stoned though). From here I walked down the road a little to Barneys.
Now I'm not barneys biggest fan, in fact last August I vowed to never return. Obviously I have renagged on that (went back two trips later in December!). I wanted some Tangerine Nectar but once I saw the state of the Barney Rubble I had to get some of that instead. The smell is what I can only describe as toxic! Pretty steep at 48e but not as bad as some other Ice hashes (my only current memory of this is that we woke up the next morning with half a j of this and half a j of some of bushdoctors ice hash sat in our ashtray - very powerful). I also got 1g of Sweet Tooth and 1g of Utopia Haze. Both are very good smokes, the Utopia has a very interesting smell, almost kush-ish?! The Sweet Tooth is my fave out of the two though....so damn tasty!
At this point I was fooked, so tried aiming back for the hotel (dam sq). Being stoned I thought I could find my own shortcut, as opposed to going the way I have always gone - needless to say...I got lost. I was so stoned that I refused to stop and look at a map, I was adamant that I would find my way. Instead I seemed to find my way to Grey Area (I can think of worse places to randomly end up!). As I was already here I thought it would be rude to not go in. Also there was NO queue....literally walked in and straight to the counter - score! First thing I noticed was a new menu
I noticed one new DNA strain....ReCon. I remember it being a cross of LA Con and some other fantatic strain(s), I saw it and had to have it. I picked out a bud that weighed around 1.5g (tried it later on and OH-MY-GOD!! strongest weed of the trip - hands down, an unreal weed, would recommend to anyone who wants a strong smoke. I also got 1g of my first ever Amsterdam smoke, Grey Haze (as amazing as ever) and 1g of the Golden Soles (read a lot about this on here and had to buy it after seeing it). Golden Soles was a great hash. After having a joint of the ReCon I was well and truly ready for a nap. Got to the hotel, hooked my laptop up to the TV, watched some stuff from my hard drive and fell asleep untill 6ish.
We stuggled to get out of bed, get showered etc. and realised that we were starving and in need of some serious food. Burger Bar (Rembrandt). 270g Kobe burger....YUM!! great burger as per usual. Whilst in the area I wanted to pop into the Bushdoctor. I already knew what I wanted...1g of Gran Daddy full melt (so finely pressed that looking at it now it is just a brown powder - super potent) and 1g OG Honeycomb Ice. Looked at a few normal hashes and decided upon 1g of Sherezad (15e) too. Everything from here was unbelievably powerful - can not articulate how strong this stuff is.
Our next Coffeeshop was a first for me (ashamed to say it as a 5 time visitor and a member of this forum), Basjoe!! Wow! What a chilled spot! Like unbelievable chilled. James is very welcoming and very relaxed. I watched a load of European football highlights and was kept very happy. I did buy a gram of hash from here but I was soooo stoned I didnt write it down and therefore have no idea what it is called or how much it was etc. I can tell you it was one of the more expensive hashes and that it is very very good.
The next day we had breakfast (was more like a feast) in bed, smoked some left overs. I was dragged into Greenhouse, begrudgingly, as my friend really wanted to go in. We go 1g of Super Lemon Haze, heard a lot of good things about it on here so thought I'd give it a go. It looked good enough (12e/g), whilst smoking a joint of it though I got the distinctinve taste of a seed 
WTF!!! I gave the remainder of the bad a closer inspection and found another one!!! Now, if I find a seed in a rubbish 20-bag that i buy off some street dealer (not that I would condone such illegal activities) I can not complain because he is just pushing some dope in an illegal market. However, the Greenhouse is one of the biggest names on the Coffeeshop scene, I should expect to not find any seeds in their weed. I would say that I am disappointed but I've already been highly disappointed by Greenhouse in the past. This just confirms my feelings towards this, the most over-rated coffeeshop in Amsterdam.
