Maybe some simple advice is this.Cannabis is technically illegal in Holland,this means that quality control is probably not the best,there is every chance that occasionally someone may come across and buy contaminated weed,if it is a buy and fly,it is difficult to go back to the coffeeshop and say this is contaminated,so it is wise to check your purchase in the shop,magnifying glasses are quite cheap to come by,don't be shy if the budtender says you can't check it, then don't buy it,there are quite a few coffeeshops that will let you look at your potential purchase with a microscope.

However if you buy your weed and are smoking it in the coffeeshop and you suddenly realise it may be contaminated just go back up to the budtender and ask for an explanation,again don't be shy,if you get a hard time just go to some of the other customers and ask them for their advice on the quality of the weed,but please don't smoke all the weed and then say it was contaminated,proof is more effective than opinion.

My local contact [UK]who was reliable for years attempted to sell me some,very dodgy crap,I kept a pinch of it and a few of us put it under the microscope,trust me when I say that I would'nt even put it in the recycling bin,this sort of thing can happen,just be aware,there are pubs that sell crap beer ,restaurants that have been closed down under health and safety[rats droppings],all you need to know is be aware and don't be shy,and check your purchase the more people do this then it is a form of quality control.

To increase weight and boost profit margins import is shaken of all useful thc which is then used to make hash which then gets sold to the CS's. The left over bud that the thc was extracted from is then contaminated with a fine silica sand to mimic the appearance of thc *sparkle sparkle* which in turn caused the "grit" term to come into effect as it would crunch in your teeth, ruin your lungs and stop the joint from burning, then sugar replaced silica sand as people cottened on they boiled sugar in a kettle with water till it dissolved and sprayed it on, left it to dry on the bud to again mimic the appearance of thc, which left a sweet taste in your mouth, caramelised when burnt and cant be good for you either, then salt same problems less obvious on the tongue but with more burning problems, then they started to use a resinous liquid to cover the buds with which when drys makes the bud go alot harder and denser then usual, with no grit problem, little burn problems and only a faint rubbery smell, this resinous liquid preserves the cannabis from going mouldy so they can store their contaminated poison for longer periods of time as they stuggle to sell it, that is why cannabis should be legalised to stop these criminals doing such disgusting things to such a sacred medicinal plant. there is no point in smoking poison say no. greed. grow your own.

no its contaminated if you read my comment properly i live in ireland were for the last 7 years it has been contminated ask any1 from ireland and england, so iv had lots of different weed with lots of different contamniments and when we where over in amsterdam we got sold contam weed 1000% sure.... not too sure what coffee shop we just walked in and bought quick deal and left, it happen twice.. once with me and friend and next time just my 4 friends, and as for the weed not been flushed it defo wasnt that because i grow weed myself and iv tasted unflushed weed and its hell of alot different im just puttin my opioion down like every1 but it is true, and how i know is because for the last 6 out of 7 years iv been getting fucking ripped off with contamniated compressed vacum sealed weed and there's nutting we can do bout it either buy it or dont smoke it thats y i started my own grow its really terrible to be honest because we are stuck with the worst possibly weed ever its so so bad i swear and guess how much people CHARGE FOR THIS CONTAMINATED CRAP 50 EURO FOR 2.5.......... I AM SO FUCKING ANGRY RITE NOW I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD 50 QUID FOR 2.5 OF DAMP WET SPRAKY HARD BLACK ASH... I think you did the smartest thing you could when you said you started growing yourself..and I can't understand why most others dont grow their own. I mean there is a safety concern, but if your carefull and keep your mouth shut you'll be ok. Honestly anyone who grows smokes much better herb than most of the top shelf weeds in coffeeshops anyway...
On another note I was just in AMS for 2 weeks this past March and went to probably 30-40 different shops and never got one gram of grit weed, alot of weak buds for sure all pretty but weak but AMS is not about the quality for me it's about the fact I can smoke a joint in public without being hauled to jail for it, in summary Loved Amsterdam and I am going back this fall/winter but to me most of the herbs were subpar.

Cisco, you made your point clear as far as I'm concerned.
I think it safe to say that none of us appreciates adulterated cannabis in any form, whether it be soap-bar hash, grit weed, or whatever.

So, what can one do?
As stated, grow your own. There is something special about smoking/ingesting weed that you grew, special indeed.
When gear is positively identified as being adulterated, QUIETLY spread the word amongst the peeps that so and so is selling shit. Keep samples of said gear as proof, otherwise you might as well fuck-off.
IF a shop in The Netherlands, esp. Amsterdam, is selling adulterated gear, and one is compelled to spread the news, do so with DETAILS such as who, what, when, and where, along with a sample. Otherwise, not only fuck-off, but go fuck yourself as well. IF a shop is ripping people off, name names, and none of this bullshit about protecting this or that. Credibility is everything, bullshit is, well, bullshit.

If anyone reads this and is still compelled to be the town crier without absolute proof, log-off the computer and get ready for school, your Mommy is becoming impatient.

yes it was the smartest thing mate because most the weed were i live is bad for you, and well ill give u an understanding where i live in ireland and england also people known each others business because we live in small condenced area's full of rats informants and you cant get away with it yano my house has been raided twice over informents and if i was ever caught with say 5-10 plants i could get 2 or 3 years in 1 of the worst prisons in ireland same goes for england, usa is abit less concerned about people growing therw own because there is no harm but see here in ireland there is a new super intendent police cheif and his first statement to irish people was i am going after all the cannabis GROWER'S not dealers who bring in guns class A drugs crack/herion..... they dont care about the dealers now they just want to lock people up who are growing cannabis it is a joke i swear scumbags ....ye in the dam there is a good bit of weak/stale bud but most of it is all great.....but my mates where in coffee shop few months back not sure what 1 and they were sold contam weed for sure he went back up to the budtender and explained it to him.... the budtender was nice about it he said im very sorry i but i cant refund your money but i can give u a different gram of your choice which he picked chesse after he gave him his diff bud he said i am going to ring the manager now and explain its contaminated and he picked up the phone dailed number and did so thats how i know it was contam because the budtender new it himself i reakon........ i hope to go back amsterdam in july myself its been long over due last time was december 2009

The sparking thing can be a sign of un-flushed too , but defo on the dodgy oily ash stuff that turns solid !! Luckily I have only come across it once or twice but certainly seen my mate wi stuff and he saved the ash , it was weird like oil or something ? It balled up not nice !!

I suspect contaminated bud does makeits way to dam and rest of holland n europe maybe not as widespread as ppl make out. Yes some of the traits are similar o unflushed weed, not flushing can also leave a distinctive taste (yeah i know depends on nutes used) but he taste is still diff to sprayed weed unflushed weed does not produce hard thc !!

Proof is key but providing that proof is hard thatt would involve returning to UK with it too manyy ppl on here have been too quick to blindly say bs firstly it would not be the cs that would spray it but grower its down to the cs to not buy it, bu im sure they get dooped from time to time too.

IMO whlst the trates are similar they are still easy enuf to distinguish im sure if boner posted up he had bought sprayd weed ppl would take it as truth n not come out with the not flushed weed argument ?
