I have to say I agree with Cisco and Boner, Been growing almost 2 decades and been around herbs my whole life with hippie parents and what you guys are compaining about the sparkling joints, the black ash, hard to keep burning, low or weird smell are all signs of unflushed/early cut non-cured weed. I bet most of what you have found is simply early unflushed weed rushed to market...seen this type of weed myself many times

I agree 99%. I always leave at least 1% for doubt.

While attending the 4/20 celebration this year in Amsterdam, I had the unpleasant experience of sampling some gear that wasn't even close to being ready for public consumption. Simply nasty, and understandable how some can mistake this type of gear for being contaminated. As most probably know, and for those who didn't..., some distributors and some C/S's as well will sell weed that's not ready, ie... under-flushed (chemical aftertaste, etc...) and under-cured (not burning, heavy moisture content, etc...). Notice that last part, heavy moisture content, I wonder why they would sell such gear. Oh wait, more moisture equals greater weight; greater weight means more profit.

Nothing happy about contaminated weed...

mmmmm the sour d i had from hunters was bone dry n still didnt burn right i posted their it burnt like sprayed weed tho didnt think it was, yes demand can make some cs's rush a batch out wet maybe early however as ive said its not the cs's that spray it its the ppl that grow it, so its conceivable that this stuff does make it into cs's that maybe dont inspect it as well as they should to just say it doesnt happen is a bit naive there are differences in the way they burn smell and taste

As stated above, gear can be cured but still not be flushed properly. The two are mutually exclusive.
Regardless of the origins or the delivery methods, when a shop sells substandard gear, my opinion is that the shop is substandard and not worthy of my patronage. Every shop knows if they are selling shit gear, how could they not? They are supposed to be the experts, right? Has been stated in this forum 000's of times.

guys i've been here for almost 3 months now.

i've smoked all the good shit here. (ask anyone who was @ the 4/20 bash).

80-90% of the weed in amsterdam is NOT cured enough.

They probably have to rush it out to keep with demand and the growers dont give a fuck... they are just in it for $$$.

So, you are often faced with weed thats while good, isn't cured correctly and probably not as potent.

This is one reason why i love cali... the weed there is dope... they dont fuck around.

Anybody that gets sprayed/contaminated weed in the Dam, bring it to me and we'll get a few shots of it under the microscope. Establishing proof and enabling you to take it back to the shop it was purchased from to shove it up their arse. Fibre glass lmao....erm....bollox?.

I've never heard of HSB selling bad weed, ie.. contaminated, but if I had, I wouldn't be broadcasting it without proof, and to go just by hearsay is participating in a fools errand. Just stating the facts, as opposed to "someone" I know.

...and here I thought I smoked everything when I was there ten dayz ago.

for what its worth, i was in the Dam a month or so ago, and bought bud from hill street centrum, it wasn't contaminated, but as stated by someone earlier in the thread it was badly flushed, which could quite easily be mistaken for contaminates.
