Just thought I would add this to the conversation... I spent two nights in the hospital due to a lung infection. The docs told me the likely cause was due to my lungs being irritated because of severe coughing spasms. They asked if I smoke cigs, I said yes and that this was probably the cause. Maybe some bad tobacco.
In truth, it started during the 4/20 celebration and having smoked so much under-flushed and/or under-cured weed. Dumb-ass that I am sometimes, on my last visit I sampled some gear that probably was under-flushed. I had coughing spasms so severe that I coughed up blood, NOT GOOD. A weeks worth of antibiotics later, the infection is gone.

I've noticed that if there's a peculiar chemical scent, it's probably under-flushed gear, esp. when buds are pulled apart.

Nothing happy about bad weed...

I am not an expert on the flushing or contamination, ect BUT Uncle ron said something that made me want to post in this thread. I do not smoke alot at home. Maybe couple of times a month. DH is the more frequent smoker. After 11 days in the DAM I could not smoke anything. The last 2 days didnt do alot of partying and the reason is simply my lungs hurt too much. I didnt like that feeling so I curbed everything. All in all I love the dam and will still go but there is definately something different about how the smoke affects my lungs.
I need a miracle everyday

Most the weed in Amsterdam isn't flushed properly, the growers keep the nutes up until a couple of days before harvest, run a 'flushing' agent through and then harvest, the flushing agents are great if you overnute your plants but not so good for a final product.

Irish Spring, it's magically delicious.

On the serious side... in the years that I have frequented the C/S scene, I haven't noticed this much severely under-flushed gear at one time.

Nothing happy about bad weed, nothing at all.....

Hash was the thing I smoked most in Amdam, fine Moroccan and primo Temple Ball were the most sought after prizes in my eyes.

My thoughts were why spend money on weed that was readily available at home in good quantity and quality. Hash on the other hand was hardly seen here in Ontario and if it was, 9 times out of ten is was even below soapbar quality passed off by someone under thirty who didn't know sheepshit from cherry pits.

Not to say I didn't indulge on some lovely NYC diesel or some of SOMA's finest offerings, 'Buddhas sister' made some killer stupid stick.

Hash is where it's at for me

Grey Area's kuchi was seriously damp and undercured in March. Does it mean that GA is shitty?? No, but EVERY coffeeshop will have an iffy batch from time to time.

its because more and more big plantages are being busted and the "pressure" on the small growers is big, so they dont take the time to make their product a perfect one.

GA was all out of kuchi for the last month or so.... the 2nd batch was very good tho.

i find if its the first batch its usually not good.... greenhouse had Hawaiian snow.... first batch in may was crap.... 2nd batch wasn't cured well at all IMO, but it was pretty effective... i just leave it out for a day or 2 and its good to go.

Another update...
June 10-17 I was in the hospital with walking pneumonia (fluid in left lung) and remnants of an embolism (right lung). I think this was a result of the perfect storm I had encountered earlier with the lung infection and a couple of other maladies.

Wish it were that easy to identify the culprit(s) of the under-flushed gear, but I tend to go to many shops and sometimes not mark the bags of what or where; just bud in a bag.

Since I've been out and have puffed a couple of times, I know it's not the Bas Special or the G-13 scored from Basjoe. :D Oh well, maybe I will switch over to Hash and similar (Ice-o, BHO, etc...) as previously suggested. This could take a while though, I love me some tasty bud.

Nothing happy about shit weed...
