My first trip to Amsterdam, 43 CS to do in 5 days, any tips?

Hi all,

I'm off to Amsterdam for my first time, 23rd-28th March (only 43 more sleeps )
I'm going with a mate, we shall call him D , this will be his 3rd trip. We have done loads of reading, making notes etc... a lot of the info has come from you guys and this site. We have printed oput a copy of the map and marked out our destinations.

What I would like to know is...
Do we do all 43 CS on our list in the first couple of days, pick our faves and spend the rest of the trip in those? Or, if we do find a couple we fall in love with (in first couple of days), sack the rest of the list off and stick to those?

Also, as I'm like a kid in a candy shop now, and there's 43 more sleeps yet, is it best just to buy in 1gms, find the ones ya like then buy in bulk?
I know these may seem stupid/daft questions, but I just want to make the best of our time there. I want to get my mate melted to a couch as he hasn't been baked over there as of yet

if you can visit 4 coffee shops ain a few days go for it, but dont spend your entire trips inside the coffeeshops there is so much more to Amsterdam

cheers for the tips dude...as this is my first trip to dam, i did only plan to see my list of CS, oh and my mates list of course we shall be doing a few other sights, but was planning on bringing the missus next time, maybe in the summer, thats when i was planning on seeing more of dam

I would personally say that 43 in 5 is way too much, so sacking some off that list is definitely the way to go.

even 20 would be loads. you want quality, not quantity...imho.

if you really want to stick to your plans, you'll want to consider avoiding smoking skunk at all.....but then, having said that, one of the best things to do in amsterdam is unquestionably to just get yourself irresponsibly baked and discard all machination in favour of simply milling around the Centre in a state of bliss, doing your best to come to some sort of compromise with the trams and cyclists.

i find this to be the most agreeable way to spend the first day, until you get your dam-legs sorted and you can begin serious expolation.

if you can tame the trams, you'll find they can help you in your quest to find exotic coffeeshops. remember they don't stop outside the coffeeshops though.

i think buying in single grams is probably a good approach if you want to maximise the variety of bud you try........obviously. not much point in buying 5g of one strain from every shop if it's your first time there. i find it takes discipline though; you'll see nice nugs for 2, 3g and find it hard to resist in that moment. then you'll be like "wait, wasn't i meant to be buying 1g a time? or is that tomorrow. fuck it."

i think getting a 5g deal of some cheapish bud is usually a good idea. the top and bottom of ends of the menu are closer together than you expect for the price gap.

Now that sounds like it! Baked and wondering around in a state of bliss! I can see me finding a CS that i fall in love with and just going there
the only reason there are 43 CS on list, excitement...thats all but we do have full intention of doing them all
