By the way, the cat in Dampkring is called Zowie. He/She is a bit of a local celebrity.

The cat boat is ace, visited it last summer.

Great place, I volunteered there for a while....be super careful as some of those cats who live there full time will take your hand off if you try to pet it. Saw a few stoned tourists learn that the hard way :D

Yeah I went to pet one, and its ears went back straightaway. I didn't try to pet any of them after that.

Indeed he/she is!! I found this clip on You Tube - same cat as I saw (though shown as Bowie on the video). Looking a little fatter right now

You may very well be right and his(don't know if it's male or female) name may be Bowie. I was told it was 'Zowie' by the lady working there (the owner?). I told her that I'd seen the cat on UK tv and she told me all about him. He was a rescue cat and he was 6 years old (this was two years ago) and he sleeps in the storage area out back. She said some locals come by just to pet him and he had become famous since he was on tv. He is a lovely laidback cat.

I agree, he/she's a great cat. Whilst I was in there he/she just sat on the counter staring at the lady making drinks with pleading eyes!!

And he/she was happy to be stroked and petted. Can't wait to see him/her again.

As for the name, no idea but didn't David Bowie used to be known as Zowie (or was that his child?). Maybe the cat's called Zowie Bowie!!!

Good to know he/she's a rescue cat.

You have to know which ones are cool, they never tell the visitors (0:

Some of them are almost straight up feral, especially the ones outside. The Pozenboot is their last stop. We would have to go outside and pick up their litter boxes, talk about fear!
