pay attention to the electricity bill, small apartment high bill??!!
don't steal the electricity the result will be the same!
Great are old houses that have electric night-storage heaters f.e.
Yes, I know, thank you!
I thought about this system for 1-2 plants grow fro self smoke:
Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Light
Full lighting system with the force of HPS 250w.
Analog timer.

Air
Venta diameter 4 "intensity of 100 Shmona.

Water
Two drainage trays.
Water tank 30 liters.
Water pump.
Full set of pipes.
Digital timer to regulate watering times.

Fertilizer
Full set of HESI fertilizers.

Growth substrate
30 liters of a mixture of coconut and perlite, the highest quality.
Bedding plants sprouting all stages.

Also, I thought about renting some mini-apratment in a grouping (I know some places -I will have there my own privacy and also I will put the system in a closet with key... so), At the first month I will come every day for couple of minutes and maybe to sleep there sometimes, on the way to be friendly with all the people around... maybe get some chick lol
After Ill feel it's ok, I will put the system there, and also put some Hidden camera which linked to my iphone. Then I can see if the police came or something happened there...
Anyway, in that case, the person who I rent my one room apartment from gives me the electricity bill every month, I pay him, and he pays the electricity company. also I will use fake id in for the bill Contract

What do you think about the hydro system btw ?
Cheers!

your setup would fit in a homebox the the light would be better refexted and more effective.
the smell would stay in the tent, and a carbon active filter is a must!
you have to keep the PH focus, a GHE bio filter will help to keep the PH in the tank stable.

but if you want more information about growing open a new thread in the "Growshops and Seeds" section this is the wrong thread for growing.

Hi!
Thank you so much for ur quick response!
I know this thread isnt in the right section but since I already opened thread here and I have last question i hope its ok
Do you think that 250w would be enough for 2 plants? The electricity bill costs can cause troubles with this system in small apartment?
Thanks You so much Colina!! :)
Best Regards

It's just to get more answers form other growers that might not be intersted in "THC oil in Amsterdam".

250W is ok but if you want more yield you have to add more light.
A 250W will fit in a smaller Homebox better than in a big one. the walls are nearer and the light is better reflected. light loses it's power quadratic!

get this book and you will have more knowlege as you need. I wouldn't have had to read more than 20 growbooks if this book would have been published sooner. this book is worth every penny, thanks a lot George!

Superunknown,
Gauging from your response, you are male, sorry m8. The panties threw me.

Is 250w enough for two plants? In my opinion, absolutely. If you were to grow auto's, you could double or even triple that amount. Auto's have a small footprint as compared to normal plants. Options.

As for your electric bill, look on your latest bill and note the cost per kilowatt hour. Open the following link, http://www.handymath.com/calculators.html open the first calculator and plug in the info.
Example:
Energy Rate (cents/kw-hr) - $0.16
Appliance Name - Lamp
Power Rating (watts) - 250
Usage Time (hrs) - 24
Energy Consumption (kw-hr) - 6.00
Energy Cost per 24hr period - $0.96

Using the above example, if the lamp were used for 21 days (veg period), the cost would be approximately $20.16 (21 x $0.96). If the lamp were used for 70 days (flowering period) at 12/12, the cost would be approximately $33.60 (70 x $0.48). The approximate cost of using a 250w HID system for one season (3 weeks veg/10 weeks flowering) is $53.76. Other considerations for electricity costs should include the ventilation system (exhaust and circulation fans), and the assorted taxes based on usage.

Note to those who continue to think that using these devices causes a "noticeable" spike in the electric bill, do the math yourselves. In the above example, the first month would be the most expensive. with the lamp on 21 days @24/0 and 10 days @12/12. The cost of using the lamp the first month would be approximately $30, plus the cost of the fans, maybe another $5. Not much of a one-time spike, eh? Just putting it into perspective. Commercial grows using 20-30 1000w HID systems, along with ventilation systems would definitely cause a noticeable spike in the electric bill. This is where most become confused. Just saying...

Happy farming.

Hi there!!
Thank you very much colina, Ive ordered the book about minutes ago
Uncle Ron you helped me A LOT!
'auto's' means Auto Flowering ? Because I can get 250w lamp with that blue/red light for grow and flowering parts.
I also have problems with indica, that's because of my need to stay focus all day and sometimes also at night for my work, so I'm looking for the best sativa strain which will flower quick/will not get above 80cm.
The only thing that makes me paranoid right now after I figured that the electricity bill would be light is the fact that the electricity company can notice I'm using 18/6 - 12/12 and report to the damn cops...
Maybe I'll just go for it Outdoor?
Cheers!

Why would an electric company care when you use electricity, other than to charge for peak and off peak usage times? I don't think they do.

The minor increase in usage could be attributed to variations in the climate, additional house guests, seasonal celebrations (Christmas lights, ect...), and the list goes on.

As stated, unless you plan on a commercial grow, no need to worry, all things considered.

I cannot go through bodyscanners due to the number of annual xrays i have for my condition...and those scanners are like the old flouroscopes that gave a generation of kids cancer so their mom could see just how well johnny's new shoes fit his toes. I guess I have to submit to the groping.

There are far easier ways to get it home...put it in the post, or one of my tricks, since I smoke a tobacco pipe, is i make little pieces of hash and scatter it throughout my tobacco tin, or roll hash into pebble sized little spheres, collect some other rocks...I dont think theres a law against rock hunting...I ate 2 cannabis candy bars on the flight back. I also discovered that mixing hash in my pipe tobacco allowed me to smoke up on the grounds of Notre Dame, wandering around.

I think that most people get busted because of a tipster and THEN they look into your electricity bill.

Yes the bill alone will not cause problems but it would be the 2nd step following a tip when the police are trying to develop a case against a grower...

Where do you live? Unless your electric company has installed what is called a 'Smart Meter', they cannot tell exactly when you used the electricity. A Smart Meter is an electronic meter that transmits your electrical usage to the power company every day (or even every 15 minutes). All homes well have them in about 5 years.

Not where I live either, at least not yet.
The previous apartment where I lived had something similar to what Marco mentioned, the meter monitoring when/how much I was using so as to determine what to charge me for peak/off-peak usage.

Given my example using the cost calculator, no one should be overly concerned with their electric bill, unless operating a commercial grow.
And if people stick to the three rules of growing, the chances of a tipster reporting a grow is slim, very slim.

If push comes to shove, I will use the electronic choke that came along with my kit. Fuck 'em.
