Shep and Miss G's DAMage report for a mad 36 hrs. Tue 8/9th

It's a rainy, slightly snowy Tuesday morning in Scotland . Miss G, my better half (known as MG for the purpose of this report)is ready , the bags are all packed , we are shattered after only having a 2hr sleep - the business of getting up at 1.30am after only getting to bed at 11 is enough to break a mans heart 
....on a normal day , but this isn't any normal day 
and this isn't a normal heart ... this mans heart today is a raging pumping mass of muscle fuelled by the prospect of touching down in Amsterdam at 9:30 that morning , fuck yer 2hr sleep im FUCKIN BUZZING 
and ready to go BIG TIME. The smile on the BH's face mirrors mine !! Armed with my list of CS's and strains i need to try and a handful of euro's...... were off !
A quick 2hr car journey to the airport and were in the departure lounge awaiting our flight, this would our our first trip away together to Dam , I've been 5 times , just with mates , and she's been once before - in November with a couple of friends,so it's a fresh experience for us both
Had a couple of smokes on the way down in the car so muchies are begining to kick in
so bacon rolls called for with a starbucks coffee ,we gulp down the coffee (pish compared to what were gonna get in the dam ), scoff our bacon butties and prepare for paradise !! 
We walk out from Central station approx 10:30 Tue am to a mild Tuesday morning , slighly drizzly but it was off for just now , the streets were not too busy, the usual foot traffic i had come to expect wasn't there ... MG mentioned it was busier in November.... I had to admit i quite like having more space on the pavements !
We already know the first stop on our trip ..... Central Coffeeshop . By now im like a kid in a sweet shop , my eyes scour the building's , the roads , the bloody bikes , tram's , none of these registered in my mind tho , there is only one thing going on in my head, its when i get into Central Coffeeshop and i get that that box pulled open infront of me.... i see the weed........ i've run it over and over and over in my mind and now ITS HERE !!..... 
Central :Always my first and last stop of a trip
2.6g Amensia Haze. **** 25e . 7.5 / 10. x 2 Coffee's - Nice and strong , decent sized cups.
Lovely high ,packed a punch , tasted good . Buds were nice,, soft and crystallized. When grinded i got fluffy bud's - which to me is a good sign of good weed.
Spent about an hour in central mainly soaking up everything going on. The smells the hustle and bustle the different conversations The coffee shop was quite full and remained so throughout our visit. White russian seemed to go quite well while i was there , never tried it tho.................. Budtender was friendly and let me take some snaps of the menu. Didn't have a grinder with me just yet so i borrowed the house one
Moved my ass from central and went into Voyagers . After reading so much about the place on here i knew i had to try Headband and the Lemon Bio Haze along with the MUCHO hyped BUTTER!
Voyagers: Fly and buy - 3 Strains from my CS List. Headband Lemon Bio Haze Butter
1g Headband 15e 9.5 / 10 Immediate High , Instant "this shit is gooood" feeling. *****
1g Lemon Bio Haze 12e 9.5 / 10. Amazing Citrus smell and taste , phenomenal stone *****
Butter was sold out according to the menu.
Headband was equal number one smoke of my trip.. Awesome..... The buds themselves are not big.. (in fact on first sight it almost reminded me of the bottom of the bag dregs and certainly not stuff i would normally spend my cash on. Budtender explained that this was due to the genetics of the strain from DNA. You would expect to see buds this size)
Advice duly noted, i continue with the purchase. I remember having a conversation with the budtenderess (well i was trying to have a conversation anyways) about how i remember that DR.Grinspoon from Amensia was a little like the headband buds.... But she just wasn't getting what i was saying, maybe because of my thick scottish accent and the fact i could barely string two words together .... . She kept on saying that Amensia is a Haze and that they didn't have it last year !! .... (now on previous trips my mates would have been rolling about at this point , watching me in my stoned state trying to carry a conversation and just watching me sink like a fucking stone....) but to my amazement my MG lept in to clearly explain what i had so epically failed to do. Within 5 seconds the budtenderss was now nodding in agreement with the MG .. Great .Sorted.
Went on to purchase the much raved about Lemon Bio Haze. My other equal number one weed from the dam this trip with not a tweet coming from my mouth to offend or confuse the ears of the budtender (the MG can handle the conversations from now on in!!) I don't remember much about this apart from a couple of things.. A it smelt and tasted wonderful. B It put me on my arse . I would return here later the following day to purchase more of this for my stash to take back home
The shop itself does need a little TLC and would bet it would look pretty nice if it got done. Really a buy and fly place for me.

We sit and smoke the Amensia haze we bought from Central earlier while we check in our bags. Sitting back and completely stoned i was looking at my rolling method and noticed i had changed to a "dam mode" rolling technique without even noticing - where i roll with the roach already in , i laughed about my Dam ritual and wondered about the other daft rituals other people would do whilst in Dam.
Amnesia:
Fly and Buy . Acapulco Gold . 12e a Gram. **** 7.5/10
We set off for Amnesia and get to the counter only for MG to be asked for ID. Bit of a bummer as we don't have it with us (maybe a plus, as the place is absolutely packed ....)However MG takes this as a compliment. We buy a gram of Acapulco Gold at 12e a gram and decide to fly round the corner to Grey Area.( i will smoke some of this Gold later)
Grey Area:
1g Casey Jones **** 8/10. Caught my throat and had me coughing for 5 mins. (Was stoned as a banshee afterwards but think that was due to the coughing fit)
1g Recon ***** 9/10. Blew my head off. Fantastic taste , Uplifting high , couldn't get enough of it.
Its absolutely packed in Grey Area and it's midday, when i pull out my list of strains from the back pocket of my jeans ..... I already know what's on it.!! ... Martian Mean Green , Recon , casey jones ... we have a good 5 - 10 min wait to get through the throng of people before us , i don't care , i could be her for an hour , i still wouldn't be pissed ... I'm in DAM baby !!!
I get to the budtender and ask to see the Mean Green ............. I'm licking my lips at the prospect of it ... then he tells me it's sold out ..... i'm gutted .....not thrown by a denial i move to my second and third choices of Recon and Casey Jones bubble both of which were in stock and looking and smelling mighty fine. MG purchases 1g of Big Budda Cheese. Golden nuggets of pure joy, bought, we head off back to the lounge in the bulldog for some smoke, a coffee, and a good laugh.
On the way back to bulldog from Grey Area we stop in by De kuli and i get the oppertunity to sample the vaporisers again (last time was a yea ago

1g White Widow 8e **** 8/10 . Old favourite
I'd been telling MG about vapo's since we had booked up for dam just a few weeks ealier. We purchased some White Widow with the intention of loading up some vaporisers , mmmm really nice WW in a vape mmmm...... and asked the budtender if he could load up the vape on the counter. He grabs the WW switches the vapo on whilst i grab a seat. Eagerly watching the dial tick +1 degree i decide to roll a number ... "you should taste your buds in this thing" i remember repeating over and over. We chat away over the smoke and a good 10 mins passed and still no sign of the vapouriser bag appearing . Twitching at the bit now, i fly up to the counter and give the budtender a nod , the look of
appearing across his face reminds him of his dutys and a couple of seconds later the vaporiser bag is in my hands.. I remember taking a massive 1st hit , holding it in for ages ( does that really work ) and exhaling feeling like a true champ , Passing it across to MG and giving her some reassurances that "it'll be fine , honest" she hits the bag making a good effort , she quickly exhales and settles back in her chair and what only can be descibed as the biggest cheeser of her life came across her lips "i take it that it's the dogs bollocks" i said , no verbal response , just a nod of the head ... settled then....
We finish the bag with a couple more hits and MG finds it hard to believe that you can get all that from 0.3g , the purity of the taste ( were both weed mixed with tobacco smokers ) and the intensity of the high. I've converted her and for the rest of the trip all she asks is " does this coffeeshop have a vaporiser?
Its now about 2:45 and were ready to check in at the bulldog proper now , i am smoked up to the hilt , red eyed to fuck and feeling like i need a little nap - (come on I've been up since 1:30am !! ) When i arrived in Dam with MG , to be honest, being the more experienced smoker out the 2 of us , i thought she'd be struggling to keep up at my pace ... fuck me .... How wrong was i ,She was blazing a trail i couldn't keep up with .... !!!she was smoking me under the table ... it felt like it anyway ...we matched each other joint for joint however she was there , smiling , giggling , stringing sentences of at least 13 / 14 words together looking fresh as a daisy , and here was me ....sitting in the bulldog ... incapable of holding a conversation of more that 4 syllables ,unable to focus , just a fucking wreck ..... ... saying in my head " fuck , don't let her see you like this ... man up ".... she's fucking pissing all over ya man ...... ha ha ha . This would be a most welcome nap indeed!..
We sleep until 5:30 then get ready to hit Dam for a second time. Feeling invigorated ( i had a quite little word with myself beforehand!! ) and ready to go at it again with MG we head downstairs for an evening wake and bake. The acapulco gold gets nailed and i was left feeling slightly disappointed, i wished i had went for something a bit more expensive .. which might have packed a bit more of a punch.
The taste didn't really do it for me ( might have been because i just woke up .. i dont know) . The stone was clear and a creeper , 20 mins later im back , red eyed to the back teeth and thinking " remember now boyo , no fucking antics again" Coffee's by our side we talk about events earlier
Now I've tried to find out what happened next , neither of us can remember , and i didn't take any notes so onto the next part....
Basjoes
Basjoe Special 12e g . **** 8/10
We head off to Basjoes and it's the first time I've been . After reading so much good reviews of the place it was a must on my list and so was the Basjoe special at 12e a gram. Basjoes is nice and relaxed ,a nice chill out place away from the hustle and bustle of RLD , Weed , Strawberry & peach looza ordered ( or was it hot chocolate ..???) we take to our seats. The basjoe special was good , taste was decent , but it just lacked a little punch for me... ( who am i trying to kid , a couple of hours ago i was on my arse!!) I would definitely come back and sample some other wares.....
Its about 11pm and were off to Greenhouse. MG just loves the hot chocolate served in the oversize Greenhouse cups , I've never had one before and must admit , pretty tasty like. We didn't buy any gear here and just smoked some of the BBC bought earlier from Grey Area......
We managed to get seats at the window so time was spend looking out the window at things going past... honestly you could sell tickets , I'm glued to the window MG is in her own trance ....lol
We head back over to Bulldog for a couple before heading back to bed to go for day 2 in dam.....

well i think i can honestly say , that even if i had managed to make it onto the tram my mates wouldn't have , they were in a knot , creased up laughing and in no fit state to go any where .
