Hi everyone im heading to amsterdam 25 april for 4 days. Last time i went was 3 years ago - How much money roughly could i get away with taking. Flights and Hotel is all paid. So just money for CS and food ?

In all honesty as much as you can afford, I'd look as little as €50 a day to as much as €100 depending on what you eat, drink & smoke.

I'd say a minimum of €75 per day but you would have to be very carefully on your spending. My last trip over 2 years ago I took about €100 per day and was ok with that but ate on the cheap and was buying smoking 5-7 grams per day but also enjoyed several beers and bout some cheap munchies and beers from the supermarket.

From reading the more recent trip reports €100 per day seems to be ok for the average person. I'm targeting about the €120 per day for my next trip.

I'd have to agree with the majority of the comments here. When I went last April, I brought about €100 per day; it wound up not being enough, but I had credit cards to bridge the gap. Mind you, my budget was somewhat thrown off by the volcanic eruption, the subsequent cancellation of my connecting flight from Zurich to Amsterdam, and the €200 I spent on the 9-hour, standing-room only train to get to the city , but depending on the type of time you're looking to have, I'd say bring more if you can swing it.

I was there Jan/2010 for a seven days and took 125e per day. The hotel was paid, so the 125e was for smoke, food, weed, beer, pot, transportation and hash. I never thought about how much I was spending, had one hell of a great time and arrived home in Canada with 15e....
Take as much as you can is really the only advise one can offer...

I think you'd get away with anything from £50 to £75.
I normally take between £100/£130 and still find enough change to buy tulips and cheese
However it wouldn't stop me going with £50 as I would just buy the budget strains of 6/7€ a gram and chill with a coke

I have my travel and accommodation paid for already. I am also getting paid the day I arrive I don't actually intend to budget as such. Been wanting this trip for over 15 years so I figure its not the time for me to penny pinch. Money comes and goes hahaa. I will probably regret this but hey "when in Rome" ahaha. I will be happy so long as I am blazed. I just don't intend to use a credit card. Just cash on hand. If I manage to spend all my pay packet then it will be a freakin legendary effort and I will probably be high for months after

How much do you smoke in a day? (grams x cost per gram) + How much do you eat in a day? x 4 days? = How much money you could get away with. That was easy.

Approximately €40 per day.
Three grams @€7gm., one for AM, one for PM, one for Late PM.
Breakfast included in cost of room.
Healthy salad w/fruit drink approx. €5-€7. Check AH, esp. their grab and go kiosks.
Healthy and filling dinner for under €15 in Amsterdam, too easy.
Total cost per day: approx. €41-€43.

Other variables to consider such as dietary restrictions, tolerance level to weed - low=cheaper; high=expensive, and so on?

Brilliant analysis, I don't smoke like a king and through years of smoking a pipe I've learned to get the most out of the least. Pure joints baffle me and seem rather wasteful, & I don't eat a lot, so I'm confident 1g will last me a lot longer than most of you. There seems to be a lot of weed gluttony about the place in my opinion, but each to their own

I dont get how yall could spent 100 to 120 in one day,do you buy cocaine or sumtin?lolwhen i was there i spent about 30 to 40 tops a day!maybe caz i have low tolerance,but i still did alot of stuff with my money,curious how you spend so much in one day
