I'm coming to the dam this summer and looking forward to it! Last time I stayed at the bellevue hotel at marteelarsgracht. I remember it as being well located, but now Im wondering if I should stay at the greenhouse effect on this trip? Would you guys prefer this location? and do you think it would be possible to rent a single bed room and then share the bed my my girlfriend? or would we get kicked out if they found out? we are really broke at the moment so every saved penny helps

Thanks!
Would you and your girlfriend get kicked out because you were ripping off the hotel? What do you think? They could call the cops and press charges for fraud and theft. If you're that broke, don't go until you can afford it. Better than the alternatives, right? Could cost you more in the end.

Check these sites, may provide useful information.

HA HA HA, yes they are going to call the Dutch police if you have 2 people in a single room.

Now that is funny.

Samsung123 wrote:Thanks for all your suggestions! We do have enough money to rent a double bed, it just seems to be quite expensive to pay around 1200+ in total for the both of us for 14 days. But maybe we are just beeing greedy?
doesn't seem like its that exspensive...you could probably get an appartment for around that sort of money plus as you're going for two weeks it'll save you tonnes of cash on eating out and such like.

The likelihood that the Politie would get involved is probably slim/remote, meaning the hotel involving them, but the possibility does exist. Given his question, I gave him a practical answer.
Would I risk it? Been there, done that, decidedly won't do it again. To each their own and all that.
Have fun.
