And thats how you tell the difference between Bho and Iso, you will find ISO is (Not to offend) no good for mental patients who need a high dose of the good stuff.

Dont bother with ISO just go straight to Bho its more fun, have you tried eating it straight in and wash it down i find Iso works best like that.

My morning dose of qwiso! gets you good and ready for BHO at lunch :D

I usually wait till I have half an ounce of end of bag buds/shake/sugar leaf and do a 30 second wash, then filter, then throw the plant matter away. this time i thought id rewash and see what i got. I also let this batch sit in the sun (a few weeks ago) till it was bone dry..longer than i would have usually. the end product (on the left) is very very brittle and i gotta use a bit of reclaim to stick it to the dabber, but it hits like a champ and is a lovely wake and bake.

The qwiso on the right is the second wash that i would usually throw away, again left in the sun and now its been curing for over a month. When i scraped it up, it just went into this fine powder..i have never had this before but 2 of my friends batches are always like that. its taste is like a cheap hash but its got some power to it..im either using it to sprinkle in joints or for making crazy Dabs dipped in this that and the other :D :D

The second batch is always how my QWISO turns out

Iv often wondered why , do you shake vigorously ? I'm guessing the trichs haven't ruptured so stay sandy rather than oilly ? Discuss

Hey man,

You could well be right. My first (and usually only) wash is always just a swirl round the jar, forming a vortex in the middle of the liquid. i keep it going at a steady pace for 30-35 seconds, then strain. For the second wash I thought there was hardly anything left in there, so i shook fuck out of it for another 30 seconds. I also think the heat and length of dry time has a lot to do with the final product. Maybe you could swirl it in the iso, scrape it up a little sooner (not to soon) and not get it to hot ie not in the sun or an airing cupboard or the such.

Anyway i think you should use your next batch of trim to do a BHO run if you have a place to do it..ill get some pictures up of my tubes over the next few days. :D then there's all the purging techniques to discuss...shit so much to do so little time.

I used to get the 2 diff batches every time I made Qwiso  jar/frozen trim,popcorn/iso, shake like fuck for 30 secs , strain  then repeat with the now wet/used trim  evap over bowls of boiling water , then leave overnight somewhere cool & dark  thing is i'm sure I always got the more powdery/lighter 1 with my 1st wash :) :?

Never had the balls to try bho

+side a mate has just given me ALL his Durban trim ( stems/yellow leaves the lot :) ), so once it's been sorted through

A nifty trick that works for me is this: I put plastic wrap OVER the top of a suqare glass dish, make a slight pool in the middle, and allow the qwiso mixture to dry in the pool in the middle. once all of the alcohol is gone, i wrap the plastic wrap up, and pop it into the freezer to harden it up a bit quicker. I hated scraping it up, and felt like I was not getting all of it. this way, it comes off the plastic wrap completely after it is frozen.  ........................peace and chicken grease!

:? :) :D  and did you get the darker tastier stronger one for your second??..maybe your garden sheds in a parallel dimension :D

Great news on the Durban trim if you've got a lot you could always pack a tube and try BHO and compare the high to your qwiso!!..you've gotta be a hell of a lot more careful, but i think if you do it in your garden away from everything and everyone, with a gentle side wind, don't wear baggy cloths and have everything ready to hand, you'd have a lot of fun. I've made a small tube that holds 6-7g and you don't really need to even run a full can through it..but i digress thats for another thread.

well i like the outcome in the fact you get every last bit of the qwiso out the bowl.... But id wanna do some research into how the 99.99% pure isopropyl alcohol reacts with the plastic wrap???? i don't want any plastic molecules in my dabs :!: anyone got any insight into that?

& no prob's with the iso doing anything adverse to the wrapping ? I do find that getting the last little bits can be a pain

hmmm will have to investigate.. but I would think that the fact that the ISO comes in a plastic container, and it is now mixed with an oil ( the plant resin) should stablize it . but I'm no scientist.. however. non-stick sprays don't affect plastic wrap, ( and they are mostly grain alcohol, read the can)
