hi long time lurker here,reading this forum it seems like the above are the places to go for some good quality smoke and bars,were staying in the luxor in red light district.is it walkable or would we have to tram it.we would prefer the walk if it wasnt to long but would be worried about getting lost etc,thanks in advance

Pretty much anything is in walking distance in Amsterdam, if you like walking the 2 squares you mentioned are definately walkable. If you are worried about getting lost then print this map out from the main site - or save if to desktop and bluetooth it to a compatable mobile phone like I do.

From the Oude Kerk (heart of the RLD) to Rembrandtplein would take me 20 minutes at a leisurly stroll. From Oude Kerk to Leidseplein then I would give 30-35 minutes.

stayed near leidesplein on my alst visit, about a 15 min walk to rembrant for us.....thing is when your that stoned you dont even really notice the walk so its all good
