2nd trip, but complete novice. Help!!

Hi guys, would appreciate any and all help.
Going to Dam with mrs in a few weeks for a few days, only been once before on a stag do. I'd never smoked until the last time and had an amazing time smokin something which made eveything funny and which the guys i was with said was a serious joint! Lol
Now i obviously know nothing about canabis but me and the mrs wanna enjoy ourselves, but my lack of knowledge and inability to roll a joint are a worry. So looking for good tips on what to buy etc etc. Any info would be muchos appreciated!

Hey Dave , welcome to the forum , your in the right place.

You needn't worry about your trip to Amsterdam you will have a blast trying out the weed , getting lost ( it's part of the experience )and enjoying the culture.

When your in the coffeeshop the best advice i could give is to say to the bud tender that your an inexperienced smoker and they will keep you right.

Generally there are 2 types of smokes, ones that get you high and buzzy and ones that get you stuck to your couch. This all depends on the strain you buy. You wont automatically know this , but this is where the budtender is your friend. They will steer you in the right direction for the right smokes. You can buy pre-rolled joints from coffeeshops if rolling is not your strong point.

What i would also mention is to take a couple of puffs when you buy your first , and wait 15 mins for the effects , if your ok take a few more , but do not go mad on your first one ..!

Have a blast, but in the meantime , why not browse the forum and read some of the threads , there are many people in exactly the same position as you , you can read the replies from their discussions and will provide you with some insight before you go.

Have a good trip, and if your having trouble rolling one, just ask someone at the next table, they can only say no, and i cant see that anyone would, then you've gained a friend and a nicely rolled joint

I've tried rolling some spliffs and im a total spaz, having to hide it from mrs cause the trip is a surprise aint making it any easier!! Lol

I think my trip is going to rely heavily on the kindness of others, which from previous experience in the Dam is plentiful.

Read huge amounts of this forum and noting down all the decent coffeshop names and am going to make it my mission to make the bud tender my best bud so fingers crossed!

I'm definitely aiming to try some decent stuff so will swallow pride and ask questions .... Failing that i'll send the mrs up, she's got big boobs so might be a better bet!!

If the budtender is not busy he or she will normally roll you up a doob in no-time flat. Pre-rolled joints are a lottery as to what you get in them. If you have a little humility you will always be able to ask anyone smoking a j in the place to roll you up one! I've done it for people before and have always been flattered to be asked - may help you meet some cool people too! Good luck and have a fab time!

Hey Dave,

I'm useless at rolling too unless I have a rolling mat. These are nice and cheap from your local headshop. I have however not managed to find one whilst in Amsterdam so always take my own. They make rolling a doddle.
