Hey everybody!

So i'm departing from Logan airport in Boston next Tuesday, March 8th for two months of Europe solo backpacking! I will be arriving in Paris and then heading to the city of Lille in Northern France to visit a friend. I am staying in Lille till the 15th and heading to the Dam the morning of the 16th. I have 3 nights booked at "Dirty Nelly's Inn" which seems like a fairly decent hostel, and has pretty high reviews. Apparently they also give discounts on booze and food and they have a solid cheeseburger for 5 euros! I will be sampling many burgers this trip; Burger Bar again which I hope can maintain its level of glorious deliciousness that I hazely recall from my 09 Canny Cup trip! I had been hearing some disappointing reviews but that won't stop me from devouring numerous burgs. ;) I may or may not stick around for the weekend, the hostel prices are between $50-70 a night! I'm not to eager to pay that much so I may just bounce! Anyway I would love to meet-up with any and all of you whom are in town! I will probably be hanging around 420 (De Kuil) on my nights if i'm just tokin, but I would love to get out to a club also so if any of you locals cough* (Marco,Soulrider,Tutti,Ohm) wanna go dancing somewhere let me know! Oh and I created a blog that I will be updating with pictures along my whole journey, I will attach the link below. For all the smoke pics I will put them on here so all of you can enjoy and I will have very detailed reports this time around because of my daily blogging! Cheers everybody! Wish me safe travels! 8)

You have been posted on the March Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=30768

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Hoi Rasa

420 is one of my favourites, so I'm sure we'll meet up

I've not got any interesting dance nights lined up for your dates yet, but we sometime just decide on the night.. Normally go clubbing Thurs, Fri and/or Sat

Goede Reis!

Skin Another, I will be taking you up on that offer. So far i'm just waiting to hear back from a friend who is going to school in Paris to see if I can crash on her floor, if she gives me the okay then we will be talking cuz I really would like to spend a couple days in Paris! Otherwise if she says no, I will still try and take you up on your offer, might just check out some youth hostels! unless ya have a couch ;)

Day 1: Arrival in Paris followed by a train ride 2 hours after arrival to Lille France

Hey ACD'ers!

So i'm happy to say everything has gone super smooth so far! My family drove me down to Logan Airport in Boston yesterday and I caught the plane at 5:00 via Air France.
Image
The only thing I forgot to pack was my flash drive so all in all didn't end up to bad. Had a really really smooth flight, I was the isle seat on a middle row of 4 and not a single person was in any of the seats! I managed to stretch my body across the seats in a somewhat uncomfortable but more so appealing form then sitting straight up. We arrived in Paris about 45 minutes before we were supposed to which kind of sucked because I had to wait till 8:25am and we arrived at 5:51am. Waited for the ticket area to open up at 6:00 and just propped down and rested my back against my bag, never can pass up the opportunity to take a break and sit and give your back a rest! Got my Eurail pass stamped and activated and got my ticket for the train from Charles De Gaulle to Lille.

Caught the train and took a quick snooze because I was so exhausted, arrived about 40 minutes later and to my delight my pal Tom was there as planned and nothing went wrong! Perfect! This trip is starting out great! Tom and I grab a bus ticket and go to the stop. We start shootin' the shit and whatdya know! already talking about bud, he tells me were gonna smoke a j when we get back to his flat ;) Sounds good to me! We go back to his place and he rolls up two spliffs, i'm not a normal spliff smoker I always go pure but when traveling I make exceptions based upon my accommodations and the hospitality was more then welcomed ;) So we smoke the spliffs and to be honest I hardly got high, i'm used to bong rips... this just isn't the same! Not to worry I will be in Amsterdam in 7 days so no complaints on this end. Anyway we went to the grocery store and stocked up on munchies and goodies and let me tell you I LOVE DIFFERENT! the smells the different products everything! This is why I love traveling! We head back to his spot and I meet some of his friends who live in the same apartment building. I end up taking a nap for 3-4 hours to recover after the rough night of sleep on the flight and then wake up at around 4pm. I decide to clean Tom's "petit" abode which is what we in the U.S would consider a single person dorm. But nonetheless his hospitality is most welcomed and he has informed me that I will be sleeping on the bed and he will be sleeping at his house down the street where his family lives, Score! I thought I was gonna be left on the floor! Anyway he tells me that his buddy got some "Amnesia" and I say "I WANT SOME!" this is my all time favorite strain after all... so many epic Amsterdam memories with the Amnesia which contradicts the name but you get what I mean... Anyway went down through the apartment building and to a different area and met up with his buddy who had some local home grown which I smelled and took a look at, was 8 Euro a Gram and then he handed me the bag of Amnesia and I put my face in it and it immediately triggered so many memories! the smell the crystals the holy grail of my weed samplings that I have only been able to find in Europe!
Image
Talk about a good first day to a 2 month long trip! 10 euro a g and worth every cent! I was expressing to the friend and dealer and he said he went to San Fran and he never saw any either, can anyone tell me why I know not a single person nor have I ever sampled Amnesia in the States? USBL you ever give it a try and grow this baby cuz the high is amazing! Anyway heres a pic! Now i'm about to drink a little wine and go out with Tom and my new French friends! This trip is already turning out to be the best time of my life! By the way the Amnesia is fucking powerful! Equal grade as the shit i've smoked in the Dam! I rolled a whole pure j and all the boys were gasping in awe because they never smoke all pure! haha only two of them had the gut to smoke it with me but we got toasted! I'm experiencing awesome body highs and head high although I will admit this Haze does give you a little anxiety! Anyway i'm bout to guzzle down some wine!

wow didn't expect a travelogue write-up at all and certainly not right from the word go ...

it would be terrific if you can keep the travelogue going throughout the trip (of course when computer access allows) ... it reminds me of my travels in my younger days ... the eurail pass was fantastic ... if you didn't have accomodation in a place you wanted to visit for a couple of days you could just get on a train for the night and take the earliest return train in the morning back to where you started from

anyway it sounds like a good trip so far ...

I will try and maintain a travelogue day to day, if I do miss some days of reporting here on ACD they will be made up for on my blog. Thanks for the kind words SS67! And yes the trip has been great so far! I just woke up a bit hungover but had an absolutely fabulous night and lets just say there are way to many French mademoiselles to choose from ;)

Some good reading!

I would be happy to offer you a place to crash but I am currently living with my girlfriends parents. Do let me know if you stop back at Paris and we'll have to meet up.

Enjoy your trip, looking forward to the updates.
