Weedhog first damtrip

Left for Amsterdam Sunday afternoon and arrived at Schipohl Monday morning. First shop I went to was Barney's as I am staying in an apartment right down a side street within a 5 minute walk.
Barneys Coffeshop Bud tender was helpful and courteous as was wait staff but the crowd was a little young for me, very busy even on a Monday midday.
Tangerine dream: Tasted ok like a decent skunk with a very light fruit flavor nothing special, high was ok I would say medium strength, overpriced. 7/10
Vanilla Kush Tasted good very skunky no hint of vanilla anywhere for me. High was also only a medium just a normal indica high again nothing special, only a little better than the Tangerine Dream. 7.5/10

Next shop I went to was Dampkring on Haarlemmer Straat.

Budtender here was good and very friendly was happy to show me anything I wanted. Shop was small and not to busy. Had a cola light, the taste of the cola here is very different than in the U.S. Waitstaff nice I did hear her tell someone they had to buy a drink to stay there and smoke though...
S5 Haze Nice haze taste, sticky buds. High was decent up high little racy. 8/10
Bubba Kush tasty strain, another medium strength buzz...7/10
Last shop of the day was Grey Area which isn't too far from my apartment, really like the walkability of the city and my location is great.
Grey Area Tiny shop tables were full. The bud tender was a younger guy and not the owner John, who I wanted to meet but he was friendly and helpful. I will be back.
kuchi Nice tasting skuny and fruity bud really like the flavor. the buzz was a good medium strength indica buzz.8/10
C-13 Taste and smells nothing like G-13 none of that piney goodness. Just more skunky goodness. The high was disapointing to me too light and short up high.6.5/10
Greyberry Nice skunky cheesy flavor and smell like the smell/taste of this as much as the Kuchi. High was good for the price.7/10
That was all my purchases on my first day 7g total. I was very jet lagged and tired with no sleep for 36 hours so may have affected effects of the herbs.
Over all the buds so far do not compare with the strength of the bud I have at home...I do love the city do far though and the people seem nice enough. Now I know how a foreighner who comes to the U.S. for the first time feels now, not knowing the language or customs.
I can reccomend laGrotte for breakfast, I had the full english and it was very good. That concludes my first day and am not sure how often I will update this travel log but will give some more reports later.

Nice report Weedhog. I do like the ratings idea. If you're not too keen on the younger crowd wander out of the Centrum, Paradox and CS shops in de Pijp (16/24 tram) usually have an older crowd.

I've never had the courage to do a report, I'll give one a go this trip

That is the same window me, Lampshade, Pauli Wallnuts and Twitchaldinho sat at while Trichome Dense fell asleep across the road in De Kroon . It was hot and the front window of De Kroon was open so as Red Eyed Indian left De Kroon her slapped Trickhome Dense on the back of the head and ran into De Kuil to join us. TD's response was classic, open eyes, look around, wheres everyone gone????, go back to sleep!!!!!. And if your a red blooded man, when sitting at that window it gives a perfect view of all the girls with nicely shaped bottoms walking by without having to see the rest of them lol (the sign across the window obsures everyting above the waisteline!!!):-) Nice pics matey

the laneway that 420 & de kroon share is really nice... i like the narrow laneways of old europe... and sitting in the window of 420 brings back the odd memory or two... love the pics.
