I've noticed that as well, but it's probably just an anomaly.

After rereading my prior post, I think the language may have been a little off, my bad. Not intended to be anal retentive sounding...

Happy 3 shops, or more....

I guess it can be pretty well inferred who is an American, but why their votes are to be eliminated in determining the "people's choice" remains a mystery.

If only there were more demographics available, a more interesting analysis might be made by analyzing the age of the respondents. We tend to limit the time we spend in the shops to those where we can endure the music. This makes the 420 a home for people of our generation. Amnesia has good weed and a comfortable place, but I can't spend much time there because the music is absolute shit. And the shittier it is, the louder they play it. It doesn't matter what the customers might want, the bud-tender cranks his favorites all the way to 11. We don't stay if there's no spot outside. The Basjoe also manages to keep the music, sometimes quite good sometimes less so, at reasonable levels. It's actually possible to have a conversation there. Who can hang out at Grey Area, anyway? Buy good weed there, and go smoke it someplace comfortable (where the bud-tenders aren't celebrities). The music levels in most of the centrum's shops enforce a couch-lock, because you can't hear to do anything else.

Gather the good stuff together, and go smoke it at 't Nes.

you do realize you can sit at the bar next door to the 420 and smoke right? and he plays so good music, not too loud.

I became aware of the cafe next to the 420 not too long after our 2010 trip. We tried it this year and enjoyed it quite a lot.

Help!!! I am new to the forum guys, so a big hello from me! :P

It's been 3 years since I last went to the Dam, and the best 3 coffeeshops I went to were Barneys, Abraxas and Rokerij.

Am due out there in a couple of weeks and have been scouring the net to find the "Top Ten Coffeeshops" to visit but all the reviews seem to be from a few years back!!!

Can anyone here advised a seasoned smoker as to where he can get the best Skunk, Weed and Hash???

I look forward to your replies!!!

This section is full of recent reviews (looks like the best of 2 pages are all dated 2011) then theres the travelogue section: https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10 there was a load of people from here in town last month so theres lots of up to date stuff.

The poll is bang up to date as well.

picked my three, Paradox because we stay in the Jordon area, but it could use a sprucing up. Bluebird because it was my first shop back when you could buy souvenirs with guilders. Basjoe's, we discovered it this trip, plenty of room, comfortable, good weed and hash, clean toilet area, and James.
