Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory Forums

I've walked up and down Warmoesstraat more times than I could ever count and never really noticed a little side street that leeds onto another little road that goes along between Warmoesstraat and Damrak.

But there it is and in the middle of that is a coffeeshop called Babylon!. How the hell I've never came accross it I'll never know. In fact how can a coffeeshop right in the middle of centrum Amsterdam never have really been mentioned let alone not be in the reviews section on here?.

Only noticed the place when doing research for my trip on FBN's menu site. Looks like they have quite a decent menu at a decent price for the area. Has anyone been to Babylon or have any opinion of the place as I cant seem to find anything on the place which is rather strange seeing where it's located.

Thanks for that, bloody name changes. But am gonna check the place out next month to see if it is any good. Must be the only coffeeshop in that street\area i've never been in over the years.

Its on Beurstraat, many hotels down there. Its the road that leads to the entrance of the Big Grasshoper. Which is the road that runs paralel inbetween Warmoestraat and Damrak. I think Kingston is its former name. Been in Babylon quite alot, nice little shop run my Morrocan's (i think), I got the best Hash i've ever had in Amsterdam there called Tigihin (sp), Blonde and soft

Nice enough place , friendly enough bt ,tidighin is a very nice smoke , you'll know your in the right place by all the police cars

It's on beaurstraat, I only know that because it's right by where I will be staying later this month (hotel beurstraat) I also hear the hash is very good there.

Managed to get google street view to let me have a look up that street after a bit of trying lol. Still cant get over how I've missed that entire street out over the years!!!. Think it'll be on my top 25 hit list for next month simply out of politeness of having been to every other coffeeshop in that area .

But from what i've read this afternoon, seems a fairly decent place to visit.

Visited this place when I stayed in the Hotel Beurstraat (a bloody dive of a place, never again). Can't remember what weed I got there but it was pretty good from what I collect. Smoked a joint when I arrived and strolled (for 1 min) back to the hotel and put my head down for half an hour.

visit this coffeeshop several times on each trip the budtenders are nice turkish ? guys they will advise u on anything

their amnesia haze is awesome , and at a excellent price

also thie babylon house special is a lovely indica smoke at 8 euros a gram too i think . not much space though best for a buy and fly
