planning a romantic trip 4 days ,possible from july 18...need somewhere CHEAPISH but suitable for the lady...personally i can rough it but rather find somewhere nice...doubleroom/bed...about 85 euro/night is our limit as we're on a budget....smoker/toker friendly would be a bonus, but not a problem....as long as its clean.....would prefer somewhere with ensuite shower and throne......or am i just asking for the impossible?...won't be booking until about easter though....help me out guys please...i'm getting tunnel vision staring at all the hotel sites ...cheers...not looking for the ultimate suite just a comfy bed and a clean place for sleeping? after a hard day doing the tourist thing for her and then crawling the coffeeshops(more for me,but she does toke too)

Try an Apartmant maybe :-)

I usually use EasytoBook.com. or Hotels.nl

When i went on a trip to Dam with my girl we stayed at The Blu Radisson, perfect location just outside of the RLD, down the street from Basjoes (which was closed for the duration of my stay in The Blu Radisson :-(), Rusland across from the entrance of the hotel and all the Tourist attractions are about equal length away, the Zoo and Flea market being right close :-) Oh yeah and the Hotel have a really nice restaurant :-)

Have a good trip with the other half :-)

http://www.airbnb.com is where it's at...

You can find an apartment (some smoker friendly :D ) for a lot cheaper than a hotel. More privacy, many come with full kitchens, and even the studios are bigger than most hotel rooms.

Was about to book through Amsterdam Escape (quite awesome places, VERY smoker friendly, but just a little too pricey), until I stumbled upon airbnb.com

Enjoy your journey!

Try Pauls Apartments. He has a studio and a one bedroom. Good rates and a good guy.
