Re: The, official, lets pretend we care about glass thread..
Was thinking about going to the roor store when in Amsterdam any one have any good or bad experiences in there ?
I have like 400-500 to spend on a bong am I being ambitious ?
Also plan on picking up some roor phucky fell tips when I am there but not shore about price ect
When it comes to accessories am I better to just get them on line?
I don't know how to upload pic but I am useing a little cheap perc bong that only cost £25 but dose, also use the good old homemade bucket kit. Us glasgow boys always go back to our bucket kits and last but not least I have the plenty vapeorizer from the makers of the volcano.its a good vape can't compare it to the volcano as I haven't tried it yet.

Re: The, official, lets pretend we care about glass thread..
Ok so I am going to get a custom roor in a few weeks and was wondering if any one has done this before?
I plan on useing a dealers cup 5mm as my skeleton and adding coulerd ice notches, a flame polished logo, reduction in the glass under notches ,a crown mout peace and a hash leaf sandblasted on the side.
The bong will be £215 as is. Dose any one have a ruff idea at what I would be expected to pay for the things above that I want to add ?

Done it a few times, go on roor.de and all the prices are there for you, pick your piece then the customise options are on a scrolling bar at the top. In my experience it is best to call RooR and talk through what you are looking for and ask them for any suggestions, they are usually very helpful. Just my opinion but 10-15 years back RooRs' were great, top notch quality control and fairly innovative however since then there are a lot more glass companies around who do just as good a job for a better price, before you purchase it may be worth your time going on to Aqua Labs and looking at Toro, Sovereignty, Mobius and Leisure Glass to give yourself a few more options.
Edited to add: Looking at what options you have chosen I would expect to add around £200 to the price of the original piece.

Is aqua labs a US site ? If so do they ship to the uk ?
For some reason I can't see prices on the roor site but think I will give them a phone.

Got the prices up on the roor de store for the actual peace it's like £40 more for the 7mm dealers cup than you can get it for on EDIT.
You would think getting it strait from the Germans would be cheaper. Any one know how EDIT are charging less ?

The biggest amount i had ever paid for a ice-glass bong was around 30e, can't imagine spending 200e if it doesn't have rocket engine in it:)

Yes like I said earlier on in the thread I still use my homemade buckit kit daily. A roor is more than just a bong to get stoned with and your ether into them or your not.
I just paid £220 for a basic roor 7mm just last week and every one thinks I am crazy but who cares ?
You roor lovers in this thread no were I am comeing from.

My custom RooRs'

I would agree with USBONGLORD if you can afford 7mm it is worth the extra £, shame they don't do 9mm like some other companies
Aqua Labs are a US company but do ship to the UK, they also have a RooR section for German made and RooR Tech section for US made, if I remember correctly.

I have 11 RooR pieces including: funky feel tips, steamroller, pocket friend, flying gilded, inside mini, a lil sista, dealers cup, my customs and ash catchers and diffusers for them all (where possible) also most of the standard bowls and some special bowls I picked up while in Amsterdam. Just FYI the first custom pictured cost well over £1000. Collecting glass is an expensive addiction
