alcohol extraction?

I make Green Dragon semi often, squirt about half an eye dropper in a shot glass, top with green tea & down the hatch, then chase the small farm animals around.

So lets use an old thread eh ?

1st off sorry for no pic's , got the camera but fucked if I know where i've put the battery for it

So , 12/12/12 , had a 70cl bottle of 176(88%) Balkan Vodka , split that into 3 parts.

To part 1 I added 10g's of Blueberry(fairly sure it was an auto but not 100% on that) & some saved stems (can't remember how long I saved them for) gave it a good shake & put it in a dark cupboard.

To parts 2 & 3 I added 11g's each of AVB (load of mixed strains) gave them a good shake & put them in the cupboard.

Yesterday morning I strained the material out of part 1 , put the liquid (dark green)into a small brown glass medicine bottle & back into the dark.
Last night I gave Wifey a 25ml shot , 2ml BB vodka tincture to 23mls of Tizer(choosen at random but go quite well together orso Wifey thinks ) Kicked in after 15 or so mins & " not much pain relief but a nice all over numbing" lasted rougly an hour

This morning using a saucepan/bowl/water bath combo( only slightly burnt my fingers once, hot saucepans can = burny fingers, you have been warned ) & an electric hotplate I reduced part 1 down to 160mls .
Once cooled I put that back into the medicine bottle & back into the dark .
There's still alcohol in it but hopefully this has concentrated it a bit atleast , Wifey will try another 2/3mls tonight & we will go from there as I have the other 2 bottles to strain I may reduce this down again some more tomorrow & aim for a sticky gel/oil

Parts 2 & 3 i'm leaving for another week I think , then i'll strain & store them together
I'll post up results good(it works) or bad(it doesn't) either way

I reduced part 1 down to 160mls .
There's still alcohol in it but hopefully this has concentrated it a bit atleast , Wifey will try another 2/3mls tonight & we will go from there

Well reducing it down by half did fuckall to increase the potency , Wifey felt as she did the night before on the same sized dose , so I could have left it & had twice as much I think i will reduce this right down to a gel/goo/oil , see what happens , she will still have the other 2 to drink

right well , poured the liquid into an open dish & let even more evaporate off , roughly another 1/4 , gave wifey 2 drops last night , stang the crap out of her tongue , shouldn't laugh but
so she didn't like that , she's going to stick to having it mixed in a shot we know 2mls mixed gives her a nice buzz , with the wkend coming up I may double or treble the dose & see

Now I have two projects this weekend, cannabutter "Death" cookies and Green Dragon...

Although I didn't read every page in the thread, I did read enough to get a few laughs...
...apparently there were some people who wouldn't or couldn't follow simple directions, and then wonder why it didn't work. Stoners!!!
Again, note the use of grain alcohol and not Isopropyl. Restores some of my misplaced faith in stonerdom...

I'll be using 2 oz./59 ml of 96%/192 Proof neutral grain spirits, cheese cloth for initial straining, coffee filter for final straining,
The cowbell will consist of 1.75 grams of ground Sour Lemon OG and 1.75 grams of ground Malakoff (Strawberry Haze x WW).
I have a three liter metal pot which I will use to heat the water to 170F/76c; a small Pyrex bowl with the canna-sludge; simmer for 20 minutes; remove, strain, use.
Don't allow the inner container to touch the bottom of the outer container, defeats the purpose of the double boiler... think about it...

I have yet to experience any effects from edibles or tinctures... maybe this time?

Right last night , Wifey went back to mixing her tincture with Tizer rather than more drops again a 25ml shot , this time
3ml tinct/22ml tizer , she had that around 18:30 , then the same again around 18:45 , 19:00 she was asleep on the sofa
She slept through until I woke her at 22:00 for her usual meds so 6ml seems to be a knockout dose

I'm going to strain 1 of the AVB tinct's this coming wk (5wks storage) & the other not sure how many wks i'll leave that 1 for , i've read so many conflicting post's/forums/reports concerning just how long it should/can be kept , hrs to 12 months not sure how much if any i'll evaporate off of each of them.

I've only experienced (or lack there of) edibles acquired within The Netherlands. Maybe THEY should use more?
This will be my first attempt at making cannabutter and tincture, and prepared for more "attempts" if needed.
First time I tried to grow weed...well, the memories are still painful all these years later.
Hopefully this won't be a repeat of another kind...

If I don't feel anything with the 3.5/2 ratio, I will double it to 7/4. I'll go as far as 14/8, however I'm hopeful it won't come to that point.
In both cases, I'll reduce the alcohol as much as possible, maybe even make some concentrate.
When ready for a dose, just add a drop or three of grain alcohol and stir until fully mixed. Either straight up or add to juice, etc...

If I were to make concentrate, I think it might as well be a version of Rick Simpson Oil...

I was looking forward to making it today, unfortunately the supplier likes to have Saturdays and Sundays off. Good for them, so do I...

So , strained off the AVB vodka , haven't reduced it atall so far , again , 3ml mixed to make a 25ml dose , wifey felt a little numbness but no where near what the BB/vodka gave , 5ml mixed to make a25ml dose is still a knockout shot though
Wifey does prefer the BB though
