I'm currently booking and planning our trip to see the Wall concerts in Arnhem.
Currently, looking at flight prices around $850 US, although the cheapest option has been flying from Philadelphia for $660. Getting to Philadelphia would cost the difference in the tickets.
So at this point it's Daytona Beach to Atlanta to AMS. Seems to be a fair price.
I saw the shows a couple of times, including San Jose where Mr. Waters mentioned on stage being in a good mood for some reason, I'm sure the best Northern California had to offer was floating around that show.
Looking forward to seeing the show 2 more times. (maybe I should get tickets to the 3rd night out there?)

Frist time to AMS and The Wall Concert

There must have been a door there in the wall when I came in.

I have a good friend in St Louis, who I'll miss at the shows. We went to see Roger at Tinley Park in Chicago for the Darkside of the Moon on his last tour and together in Chicago & St Louis for The Wall. I'll miss her at this one, I know we would enjoy the scene together.cattales1960 wrote:thats sounds like a great time!
By the way, we managed to pull together some air miles and the trip cost a total of $200 for 2 round trips tix! Now onto using up the hotel points.
A question arises, the last time I toured around it was traveler's checks. Yes, it was the '90s.
What is the best way these days to cope with money over there? Exchanges at the airport? I don't recall seeing any threads with this question. Of course my recall, at any given time, may be impaired.

Hey I was at the St. Louis show too! Thought it was a great show. I'll be in Germany when he's doing shows there, but the ticket prices are crazy! Way to go though on using your miles and hotel points, makes the ticket of show not seem like so much cause you're saving elsewhere. Have a good trip, and I hope you enjoy it!

Use ATMs to get your euros.
You can use trav checks or exchange money, but ATMs are more convenient. You'll get a good exchange rate, but take a hit from the associated fees.
Exchanging your money at a bank before you go is also an option, but with those pesky fees.
Have a good trip.

Right on, thanks, I'll follow up with my bank and see what the deal is over there.nippers wrote:Use ATMs to get your euros.

In the US, even St. Louis where he only played one night, there were a lot of tickets on the reseller market, often less than face value.ACDlurker wrote:Hey I was at the St. Louis show too!
