(solved) Help name CS?. &few '09 pics

just had a look on google maps, and street view doesnt exist for warmoerstraat which is annoying, as i reckon thats where it is too.

Yeah, the only main bloody street they have not added!!!. Guess to much worked needed to edit all the coffeeshop info in that street than they cared to spend doing?.

it does kinda look like de kuil 420, just the layout and obviously looks like its on a small street outside

The place opposite could say "Comet Cafe" or "Comet Bar". But google maps is finding nothing with such a name. But the first word certainly looks like it's a 5 letter word beginning with the letter C with the second word certailn looking like starting with CA?.

That original pic does help just a matter of working out the lettering

The logo on the front MAY be a bearded gent with a large hat on.

definitely somewhere off the Damrak. I was in the Dam lastweek and my guess is that its Coffeeshop 36 or Route 99 coffeeshop, never have gone in but the interiors from what I have seen when walking by and peeking in seem to resemble this. If I go back in April I will find out for sure for you!

Dont think thats the same place unless they have changed the interior since I and then the op were there when the pic was taken. I dont recall the pool table area being that wide and there were certainly no low tables to sit at as in that pic. In fact when I was there and that pic taken there were just stools by a narrow bar hight table that went along that section of wall. Guess they could have moved the pool table over and put tables and chairs in since the op's pic was taken?.

Balou, do you know when that pic you posted was taken by any chance?.

I think I recall the place in question being in a street with other bars and coffeeshops that in a street on it's own.

Dont think it's cs 36 either as a pic I found shows the pool table (red felted) down several steps in a section at the rear of the place. The op's pic shows everything on 1 level.

The picture I posted was taken in Jan. 2010.

Yes there is a Coffeeshop 137 (Sturgis).
If you look at the pictures the floor is the same along with the orientation of the pool table. The only difference is the seating, even the lights on the wall are similar. Highway is on a small street with several other coffeeshops/cafes.

Been lookint at the full pic from the op and wandering if by the door there is steps going up to go out?. As there appeart ot be an angles brass bar going upwards on the left had side as you look as the pic.

But the detailing on the door would have to be back to front for the door to be closed if it were for the place in question and it does'nt look back to front to me even if that was a closed door for the place we are trying to id.

Been following this one for a few days ....
Just chippin in with a couple of points i've picked up on

1 - Looking at the picture above on the revamped Highway (2010) and the OP's , the floor tiles are exactly the same , the up-lights on the wall look remarkably similar too.

2 - The OP's picture ..... I originally thought the logo on the door was lettering with 2 pool cues and 2 numbers within a circle ( 23 , 73 , 33 , 53 ) and tried to tie that into the highway logo which does include a couple of pool cues , but then realised ...

Looking at the picture above on the revamped Highway (2010) and the OP's .. Either they have done away with the logo on the door ( as there isn't one on the most recent photo ) or the door we see is not highways .........
It is legible from the direction we are looking at it . It must be the door to the premises across the street from highway , if it was the door to highway it would / should read back to front as the door is in a closed position


3 - Went to google street view and as posted before your not getting a close up , but if you stand on the bridge looking into the street where highway is and right click to zoom in

on the left hand side of the road I believe I can see (across from where highway would sit ..) some 3 steps going up and what appears to be a hand rail ( just left of the shoulder of the guy in the blue and white t-shirt)


For what it's worth i think it's highway.

IM not sure wha shop tht is but your pics answer a Q I had the otherday. The Indian restaurant I ate at by the albert cukp market. It maybe that Bazar one.
