Hey guys I'm new here, obviously but most importantly I have put it in my mind that I am going to Amsterdam this summer. I'm a senior in high school in the United States and it's been my dream to smoke the good herb of Amsterdam. I'm in the planning stages of my trip now, but I will be going either late June or early July. I'm posting this now because I would like to get to know as many of you guys as possible beforehand so we can meet up and smoke in the Dam. Thanks guys you really have a great community here.

welcome to the forum VA and congrats on becoming the legal age to smoke in the Dam. Too bad your not coming in april. Alot of us will be there then. Im sure there will be some peeps when your in town too though.

Will do Flybynite and the great thing about Amsterdam is that when you are 18 years old you can do whatever you want. In America the freedom just isn't there. So I turn 18 in June and depending upon how quickly my passport processes is when I will book, I'd like to get with some other people that might be going around the same time too. My dates are flexible right now though.

Welcome to ACD. Why wait to apply for your passport? In the US the Summer is high season and processing times are a little longer. Also, be aware flights to Amsterdam will probably be bear $1,000.

Yes, I'm waiting to apply for a passport because I am considered a minor right now. I turn 18 in the beginning of June. My parents don't want me going to Amsterdam, but at the same time they know that they can't stop me, so It's something that I will have to do once I'm officially an adult. Also I think if I got a passport now it would only last for 5 years being under 18, but if I wait and apply after I'm 18 it will be good for 10 years.

Oh and yes I've done the pricing research a flight from DC to Amsterdam the cheapest I've seen is about $1100. I have the money set aside though it's something I've always wanted to do and I'm going to make it happen. I'm thinking of getting a cheap private room in a hostel or rent a room from a local on airbnb some good prices on there as well. The rest of the money will go towards bud, booze, and parties can't wait.

Hmm, interesting Balou well I have some time to sit and think and fully plan out everything, if I can convince my parents to come with me to get a passport then I will try and get it beforehand, but if not I won't need to drag them along after my 18th birthday. And yes wiley you've got it easy going to the dam from England.
