welcome to the acd forum

imho the best place to start are the Travelogues, ie the place where people put their trip reports of recent journeys to amsterdam, these contain a lot of information about the current strains and their prices and which shops have good examples at the moment

all of the trip reports are useful reading, but if i had to choose just one for you to start with i would suggest geekymonkey's thread about her travels -

after that have a look around and read some other trip reports as well, there are many good ones with lots of information and are good entertainment

the Coffeeshop Reviews forum is useful for looking at particular coffeeshops while Cannabis Strains is useful for looking at particular varieties

Thanks for the welcome. My reason for wanting to go to Holland is because my brother is terminally ill with cancer. I want to buy some cannabis and know what I am getting (hopefully!) with a view to making "hemp oil" as a medicine as promoted by Rick Simpson at Phoenix Tears. The doctors have nothing to offer so really we have to do anything that is possible, and there is scientific evidence that THC is anti cancerous. Alternatively, does anyone know where I can get some ready made oil, which I believe is sometimes available? It would be easier to get into the country that some very fragrant palnt material!
