The reason I suggested this 'session' was as a continuation of what transpired last year on the 15th at 4:20 @De Kuil/420. I don't remember the gentleman's name (owner of the shop perhaps) who, at 4:19, asked everyone for a moment of silence to remember Jack Herer who had just passed that day. I thought, still do and will continue so, that it would be a fitting tribute to honor and remember a person who had a profound impact not only to the cannabis world, but humanity itself.
I also thought this would be an appropriate moment to reflect and remember all those who are no longer with us. I think it's befitting, regardless that I suggested the gathering and am not able to attend. This is why we have memorials, no? A time of remembrance and celebration of life.

and we move on...
Happy trails...

My Queen,
I am but a humble servant, or is that savant (as in idiot)
Given that I was under the extreme influence of cannabis at the time, but when the gentleman announced that Jack had passed that day, it had a profound effect on me. I thought suggesting that the opening to the 4/20 festivities would be a befitting remembrance of Jack and all those no longer with us. Five daze of T&V's, the sixth day an epic party to celebrate not only the winner(s), but the fellowship of humanity as well, and on the seventh, rest. :) Kinda deep, maybe, but that's how I roll. Damn if turning 50 hasn't gotten me all philosophical and shit...

Lastly, it's not up to me, never has been, never will be. :) 8)

Happy trails...

Edit: My one request, after the moment of silence, an (the) appropriate song to play would be Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here". Shouldn't be a dry eye in the house.

Uncle Ron

The reason I suggested we might want to drop this was because, as neither you or I will be there and few people arrive that early, I thought it wouldn't happen anyway. Now that Hestia has taken it on that is no longer the case so it's firmly back on the itinerary.

I've taken the liberty of creating this thread for the event and moved the relevant posts to here. I'll link this thread from the itinerary next time I update it.

Ron You're right it is inportant ! Jack Herer was a true Canna Warrior and needs to be remembered for it. thats why I stuck my big nose in, Because it is so inportant to remember those who have done so much for the cause. I think it was a brillant idea honey and thats why we're going to keep it happening.. So don't you worry Ron with everyones help we'll make it happin'. And you were right to Lemming if theres no one there to host...there's nothing to host in the first place....don't ya know !! :D 8)
