the guy 'hickeydermot' wanted to bring his younger brother (aged 17) into some coffeeshops for his first amsterdam trip.. this upset some people here because the coffeeshops risk losing their licence if they serve anybody under the age of 18... then the insults started flying around and it turned into a pissing contest...

I'm chill without going into detail , i let whats goin on in my real life affect my posting on this forum. the last week or so has been hell and my only saving grace was dreaming about my trip , and coming on here to get updates boo hoo right lol

I'd like to apologise to Marco , i got serious when it was clear you were just being sarcastic , i wouldnt want to waste my trip to such a wonderfull city seeking someone out and battering them over "e-drama"


I compete on a amateur circuit here so i should know better but i'm a meathead with a high i.q and my temper gets me sometimes i know it wasnt shown in ths or the previous thread but i feel it takes a real man to admit when he was wrong so Marco i extend my apologies

as for the others i feel its the same on every internet forum online its a mob mentality where one person gets ridiculed and the gang join in because they have their own issues or are insecure with their own lives ( enough psych bullshit) i wont name names but theres 2 or 3 posters here who are spineless weasels and for that i feel sorry for them because they muddle through life hiding behind their screens or are soft in the streets but supermen online , i like the forum so dont wanna stop posting so in future if people could refrain from trying to mock or instigate a "net argument" by posting in OTHER threads what has happened here i'd appreciate it

I didn't know what all this shit was about until now and I can understand peoples concern. I was actually in the same position 3 years ago when I was 17 and I asked the people of channels for there advice, well some said who cares go for it and some told me that I would be doing something really wrong and you know what I did... I went to Amsterdam and went into the coffeeshops underage using a friends i.d and the world kept spinning.... at the end of the day the people on the forums can criticize as much as they want but ya cant let that shit get to ya. Just a piece of advice: you will get a wide range of reactions from people on the internet but at the end of the day its your decision so who gives a flying fuck what any internet voice can say! just saying man don't let people get to you over the internet... and now 3 years later ive made 3 trips back to Amsterdam and soon to be 4th so I guess it turned out be a good decision that I took the risk and went in the shops. People can say what they will but at the end of the day its "your" choice. Just my two cents...

Thanks for the insightfull post Rasa , on the i.d situation he has a drivers license which says hes 18 so he is sorted and if there was a police shutdown surely he would get in trouble and not the CS but i'm confident we will be fine.

the backround of the story was another poster asked the question as he was in the same boat as me and everyone was saying no dont do it to the person , so i got anxious and looked to reassure him and possibly myself that everything was ok and i threw my 2 cents in and it went downhill from there

usually i could care less what people thought or think i go through life that way i'm not a sheep but for some strange reason comments made by some posters annoyed me because they kept going on about it even in OTHER threads wherever i posted even if i was trying to give advice of my fav coffeeshops posters would quote me and bring up the thread about underagers so i felt target because maybe im a "noob" here or something then i snapped at Marco the least deserving of my anger.

I hope the issues put to bed now and we can move on and focus on talking all things Amsterdam

Instead of saying "yeah, I guess I understand that I shouldn't do that", you decided to go spastic and label other people "faggets"(sp) or "women"(as if that were somehow an insult.)
