I had not heard that Prince would be willing to play DH sporadically if he went to an AL club. Jesus i had forgotten that the Mariners had Doug Fister! I remember watching him when they played in Toronto sometime in July i think and his ERA and WHIP were solid but no run support, shitty record. Did they get alot in return for him? With that ballpark you would think that developing there own guys (pitchers) wouldnt be to hard and would eliminate the need to acquire a SP. Cliff Lee didnt even make that much of a difference.
Anyways in regards to Bryce Harper if he starts in AAA next year GUARANTEED hes up with the Nats sometime in June. Barring injury of course. Hes a monster man and dont read to much into that YOUTUBE video when he blows the kiss if thats what your referring to about his attitude. That pitcher had it coming.
when i refer to his attitude i mainly mean his outbursts and arguing with umpires. and yea thngs like blowing a kiss at a pitcher. lets me be honest if he tried the later in the big leagues he'd catch a fastball to the helmet.
as far as prince.hes only 27. 6 years will take him till 33. i thin k he'll retire in his mid 30's but not that early. maybe 36-37.he wont be the next mo vaughn.

If we could pry lincecum away...wow. its a longshot...but he is a seattle native and lives here in the off season. hellf iv got friends who used to take bong hits with him at the u of washington and another friend's friend is roomates with him up on queen anne hill. just a possibility. but hell..felix..timmy and pineada as a top 3? hell i can dream.

yea it sucks. although i think maybe st louis should have offered 220. now the mariners probably going to offer fielder 200-210 mill over 7 years in order to even have a shot.

soo braun has tested positive for some sort of performence enhancing drugs. really sad, i liked braun. this could also effect us getting prince. think of it this way. brew crew just signed braun to a 5 year $105m contract. brewers are probably thinking "shit how long has he been on these..how good is this guy w/o them" could make them drop the big $$ on prince to assure them they have power in the lineup with or w/o braun in the form hes been in. mariners need to ink this guy asap!!
