2 and a bit days solo, it was first ever visit to Amsterdam.
Day 1
I got the wrong train and ended up in Hilversum, git the train to centraal and headed for my hotel at about 11:30am. The hotel was very basic and not terribly clean, so I dumped my bag and headed out planning to end up on haarlemmerstreet. I crossed over the damrak and spotted 4:20 so in I went for my first smoke a gram of neville's haze and a bong and off I blazed. It was a nice strong high and a very smooth smoke overall and it gave me a good start, but as I sat and thought about the hotel, I decided I couldn't stay there as i would spoil my trip so I went to look for a sleeping bag or another hotel. I found a hotel agency type place near the red light district who got me two nights in a best western near liedse square for €125, so I checked out and headed that way. After 4 hours of being lost I eventually found it but my legs were well and truly dead, on my travels I realised that the dutch have no regard for any form of pedestrian health and safety after spending a great deal of time walking in the road to get around roadworks and other pavement obstructions. I checked in once again and had a nap. Later in the afternoon I headed up towards harlemmerstraat again stopping at abraxas, I bought some chocolope and put the whole gram in one big joint, then headed over to green place rented a bong and bought some super lemon haze. I was impressed with green place which was nice and modern with plenty of seating and sold hot food, so I got a burger and pitched up there for a couple of hours.
I'll piece together day two later.
28th-30th March
Re: 28th-30th March
Nice start. Are you sure you were in Greenplace? I'm almost certain that they don't sell food. Maybe you went to Greenhouse. I can't believe you were lost that long, its no more than a 45 minute stoned walk to the Best Western.
Peace,
Balou

Are you stoned? Like a gravel road bitch, like a gravel road!

nice report--if you must hike all over the place stick to the canals--city is amazing viewed from a canal perspective,
'' on my travels I realised that the dutch have no regard for any form of pedestrian health and safety '' 10/10 for this--I have nearly been killed on a few occasions by silent trams sneaking up on you. not to mention the kamikaze cyclists and scooter drivers.
anyway have a nice time and chill, wandering lonely as a cloud is an Amsterdam thing, first time I went I was all stressed out for a day or two, until you realise that as long as you are near the leidesplien you can never really get lost-----check out rookies coffeeshop if you need to give your legs a rest. look forward to reading how your navigational difficulties progress.
